This is my plan for growing some mushies, I only have experience with PF-TEK, so please if you think any step of these is wrong let me know
1) prepare popcorn by rinsing, simmering and boiling 2)fill two thirds of some jars 3)inoculate the jars each with 1.5 ml from the spore syringe 4)incubate the jars for colonisation 5)shake every 5 days 6)after 70% colonisation they are ready to be used for spawn 7)prepare popcorn the same way as step (1) 8)into a tray, mix the jar contents with uncolonised popcorn 9)case the trays, cover them with tin foil and introduce them to incubation phase 10)when mycelium colonises the casing, the trays are ready to be introduced to fruiting conditions
I have a question: does the trays need to be dunked and misted before being introsuced to fruiting conditions as with the PF cakes or the water content inside the popcorn is enough? what about between flushes, does it have to be dunked?

1 but I'd SIMMER not boil. 2 3 I'd do 3 drops MAX of solution down 1 side of the jar. Shake at 20-30% 4 if by incubate you mean sit on a shelf with indirect sunlight in room temperature (70-75F) then yes. But we call this stage colonisation. Not incubation. 5 shake at 30% colonisation, and again at 100% to ensure a clean recovery. THOSE ARE THE ONLY SHAKES YOU HAVE TO DO! Anything excessive just fucks it all up 6 AFTER 100% COLONISATION ONLY!!! NOT 70%! AND IT HAS TO BE 100% CLEAN TOO. 7 just no. Look up coir verm and gypsum teks (CVG) aka bulk substrates. Not grain spawn. 8 Again spawn to a bulk substrate. Not uncolonized grains. Grains will contaminate FAST AF. You won't get anything without full colonisation of grains in a STERILE environment with a proper filter. 9 let them colonize to 100% then case them. This isn't casing 100% colonised GRAIN SPAWN. This is a bulk substrate. Also trays done in a clear plastic tray with a lid works much better than foil. Cubensis will eat through foil. 10 after full colonisation you can introduce fruiting.
I'd seriously suggest you follow a tek on here that's not older than 5 years. Please for the love of God never have uncolonized grains in open air. Also you never said if you'll be using a still air box.

thank you for your effort typing up all of these I've changed my plan, will use millet insteat without spawning will just transfer the colonised millet from the jars into tray, case and fruit. I think it's gonna be easier, simpler

just keep in mind grains don't retain anywhere near as much water as a bulk substrate. You can get results by casing them, but everyone here knows that bulk substrates like cvg with high spawn raios will give you much more overall yield

Yeah you can get a couple of mushrooms or a bunch by adding one more step. By the time that grains colonized in a few weeks, you'll be ready.
