Habitat: Wood - Found in woods along not really well traveled trails but it was a a huge dog park with some dog poop on the trails, growing from a fallen rotting branches
Gills: ok so, the gills are more like a sponge with little holes every where. Not really sure if you would call them gills?
Stem: reddish dark brown at the bottom turning more red half way up from the base the up near the cap was darker yellow maybe I'll have to look again in the morning. The stems bruised very dark blue after handling them.stems were fairly solid definitely not hollow.
Cap: Brown and cracked on the top some had pine needles that had fallen stuck to them. They were very hard to see as they were dark brown and camouflaged by the sticks and small pine needles of the same color, 1-3 inches across.
Spore print color: coming tomorrow
Bruising: very dark blue.
Location: Pacific Northwest WA. 50ft elevation. 2 miles from the Puget sound.

Thanks! so if I were to find some that weren't nasty and old like that, would they be eddible or psilocybin? Sorry noob here just trying to learn. Did a quick Google search but I'll look some more if I can't figure it out. I really appreciate the ID though!

No, they won't be. If you want to find active mushrooms you need to target them specifically and look in their habitat. Randomly picking mushrooms and hoping they are active has about the same chance as buying a lottery ticket. Here, this will help get you started, but you have to put in your own research.
