Food for thought

This is a longshot, and may have been asked before, but I couldn't find anything. I'll delete this post if this is the wrong place to ask or if the answer is just plain and obvious.
What would happen if you spawned to a substrate that's suitable to both plants and mushrooms, which it seems like most substrates would satisfy (coir, hpoo or what have you), put it into a flower pot outside (or maybe inside) in a suitable environment, and put some type of fruit - bearing seed in it? Apples? Would you get psilocybin fruits?
...or weed?
I thought of this because the sprout in my mono has continued to grow and looks like it's even about to flower. Seems like it would make sense; the plant taking up CO2 from the sub and providing oxygen in return, right? Maybe? Has anyone tried this before?
Idunno. Just wondering

What are some wood-loving cubensis strains?

Sertian species of mushrooms and trees can have Mycorrhizal symbiosis but there will not be any transferring of actives between mushrooms and plants.

I think BL is referring to the symbiosis, I'd like to trip off a Granny Smith myself, but it's not gonna happen.

Misunderstandings are funny.
BL meant the symbiotic relationship of oxygen and co2 swapping. Fruiting plants grown next to mycelium will definitely not absorb the actives from it.

No transfer of actives . But , maybe a transfer of gasses between the two, such as oxygen and Co2. Would love to see a pic of the sprout in your mono

Hahaha we can only hope
Follow up question: What if you watered the plant/substrate with a temperature of water that would be hot enough to release the psilocybin from the substrate but not hot enough to kill the plant's roots? So that way the actives would actually be absorbed into the plant with the water
