Dont be so full of yourself
I respect you but sometimes you act like you know it all or are better than everyone else, not saying you aint smart, cause i think you are. But whats wron with yoga or meditation? stretching and breathing slow is nice during a trip I love yoga, usually in the sun barefoot in the grass in a quiet meadow or in a quiet backyard
Back to the topic, I think magic mushroom research is a cool thing, i hope psychedelic therapy and acceptance of these substances happen s in my lifetime, but who knows

You have the wrong idea about it. It takes a little practice with having an open mind. If you take it seriously for a little bit, you'll start to get a feel for it. Bigotry like that, ^, doesn't really make for a good trip or for any competence at learning new stuff.

Psychedelic research in general is fascinating, I love reading all the crazy stuff the Shulgins wrote. So much interesting knowledge.
Earlier I was reading up on some random novel psychedelics and what makes them so unique. Apparently certain Dox's for example leave strong radioactive maps f where they have traveled in the body so they can be easily scanned for neuromapping which is pretty cool. Also his research on how different chemical arrangements change their method and effect on the body is pretty amazing.

I will say this though, I would way rather have a longtime practitioner of meditation and or yoga then someone who just trips fr fun present
Tripping in a ceremonial setting with traditional chanting and stuff would be very interesting and I am sure adds to the experience quite a bit.
If that's how you want to go I won't steer you away. I am mostly hands off unless I see some kind of panic happening and I know of no one better than me at soothing a panicking tripper. Done it many times, some of them when I was tripping myself. I will lie shamelessly to reassure someone.

I have had someone do that while blacked out on psychs and "tripping out" and all it did was confuse me becouse I could feel how empty the words are but didn't even fully understand why anything was being said, let alone how and where anyone else showed up from and how I could communicate with them at all I just remember being confused as fuck while my friends dad hugged me saying shit like "its ok we all love you" blah blah blah.
Like I said I was blacked out though, I am sure you saying positive reassuring things could do a lot of good for someone going down some negative thought paths.
Hands off definitely seems like the best sitter approach, that always seemed like what sitter meant to me honestly. Somewhat who sits by sober while you trip.

I don't know, Zappa. In my experience meditation and tripping go hand in hand.
But their music selection really creeps me out, that's just a bad trip waiting to happen

Being in Wisconsin, I thought they'd be showing Aaron Rodgers highlight films instead of quasi-shaman type sitters.lol
And, oh, by the way, that playlist sucks! Need some ABB or Lou Reed or something to get their mind happy...not confused.

You don't strike me as the kinda of "energy" I'd wanna have around if I was tripping.
I'd choose a hip trendy yogi any day of the week, if I had to have a sitter for some reason.
Agreed. Zap would be the pits as a sitter, a debby downer with an attitude and strong opinions.

That's the way you come across

Not what people want on a trip.

I was referring to the yoga/meditator's spirit guide nonsense. That shit is useless in the clutch.

Some may find it useful, not everyone enjoys the same "journey" if you will.

Lying to someone who is having a bad trip is a not a good idea. You don't want to make someone feel more insane than they already do. For instance if you try that trick of telling them they will feel fine if they take some vitamin C and they do and it does nothing they will think they are utterly doomed.
Its easy to read people when tripping anyway so if they sense you are deceiving them their paranoia will go through the roof.

I tell them it will be over soon even though I know it won't and that they can go to sleep. By the time they realize I was full of shit they will be well past scary time but it reassures them nonetheless. Works every time.

Fair enough. Reminding them it will pass is key.
