Hell no. Positronius made an honest error. He really did think that my avatar was Plato.
It is all in good fun. But I do have my eye on him.
He has a nice ass.

I wonder if Gurus ever had a Guru.
Perhaps most people are actually truly their OWN guru, they just need other Guru's to confirm what they already 'knew'.
Sometimes people seek advice when they know the answer...but wish they didn't.
I've encountered many deep insights in my participation of mental masturbation, debating, arguing, reading, and having fun in general in this forum, but when I truly think in introspect of it all...I realize that most of that wasn't reallly anything that I didn't already know...
And btw...I'm not telling you anything that you don't already know.

I have self-doubt about my beliefs, unfortunately. Comes from a life-time of being told how stupid I am, how could I say that, do that, whatever. It's nice to have someone to run things by, to see what you believe and why.
There have been a few times when I have disagreed with my guru. He may still be right, but I just disagree.
(Skorpivo, what are you doing awake already?)

Would you mind telling me (us) about your guru?

He is quite possibly the most intelligent man of the last century. He took me from a child and taught me to think for myself.
It was his gift to me.

That is how I feel about the person that I call my guru. Someone is finally taking the time to teach me about life, instead of laughing at me for my ideas. He may not be the most intelligent man of the century, but he's the smartest person I've ever met. But honestly, if he knew I was here calling him my guru, he would probably be a little embarassed, and he would make the necessary waivers, or whatever they're called. Disclaimers? He just knows what he knows. Almost forgot to add: He has no fear of someone else having the knowledge he has. He says that I am smart, and someone just needed to guide me a bit, and that soon I will know what he knows, and then I won't need him any more. How's that for smart. He has nothing to prove. I may send him the link to this thread, as a sort of compliment and thanks.

Then I am truly honored that you compared me with him.
I don't talk much about my Guru. I didn't even admit I had one until now. And I have never known mine to be wrong. The day I can plumb the depths of his thought will be a day I cannot conceive.
His thoughts are written all through my posts. He is my mentor, and I, his poor disciple.

With that edit the parallels between him and myself become more striking.
Most people don't "get" me. The ones that do testify to my uniqueness.
Or as I said the other day:
"I am hysterical, when viewed properly."
