Conflicting Advices on Misting in SGFC

My bad if this subject has been redundantly discussed, I've done my best to heed the words of trusted cultivators as much as possible, however...
I've read posts by those who said one should mist until the cakes glisten, while others recommend to finely mist above the FC and allow the mist to settle onto the cakes. In such instances it would take quite a bit of misting in one setting to make the cakes really 'glisten'... would that be too much? A suggested 6-8 sprays - which wouldn't be anywhere enough to make them glisten, also seem to conflict with the advices above.
I've also read various grow logs by those who didn't mist enough at first, then rigorously misted afterwords to excess and had good results. All in all, I'm very confused as to what exactly to do... should one mist until the cakes glisten, no matter how many sprays it takes, or a moderate number of sprays with a well-made sprayer is enough even if the cakes don't glisten afterwords?
I'd greatly appreciate any feedback on this matter, much appreciated!

As much misting as it takes to keep them glistening is how much you need to do...the Verm from the roll holds quite of bit of moisture...with the misting, your pretty much just replenishin the moisture evaporating out of it...

Mist until they glisten. Get a decent 3$+ spray bottle. You could mist half of your cakes till they glisten and the other not so much. Compare them and let us know.
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.

When I bought my grow kit it said to mist 2 or 3 times a day in the instructions.
But I noticed that it would dry out before the next day so I increased the misting. Growth increased exponentially from then on. Keep in mind this is only a small grow bag. SGFC's are much bigger.
You should see results really quickly anyway

Also it's been four days since dunk + roll. Some knots and only three large pins so far... it seems that I wasn't misting enough before and the cakes all looked kinda dry until today when I misted heavily as suggested. I used to mist the sides of the SGFC and few sprays directly above the FC so the water falls on the cakes but they never glistened like they were sweating. The mycelium were slowly growing over the Verm and looked healthy... well, perhaps I would've had better results if I misted abundantly from the start?
I fan 5-6 times a day but I think that wasn't doing the cakes any good due to lack of water...? Will keep posted.

Yes only fan when you mist or ull just be drying ur fc. If you SGFC is constructed good you dont need to fan that much anyway.

Yea, the SGFC was constructed exactly according to specs.
I know the holes will provide decent FAE, but still trying to fan 5-6 times to hasten evaporation. I've been keeping an eye on them ever since this morning and making sure to induce heavy misting if the cakes seem dry after a few hours. Also trying to make sure not to mist too much so the water doesn't pool on the tin foil.
One of the cakes transitioned from knots to noticeable pins within the last four hours after misting, around 10 small pin. Another cake with a single large pin (size of a pencil eraser) has a cracked cap... not sure if this was due to lack of moisture before?
