Any one know how long it takes to root Kratom cuttings in water or soil? I have had them in a aquarium for two weeks and no sign of roots.
 Any tips?

In an aquarium you say? I don't have any info as I have yet to successfully root a cut myself but I have read some people have success in bubble cloners or clean soil with fungicide. I am planning on taking a bunch of cuttings soon and will be making a aeroponics/bubble cloner with a dome over it for humidity of the cuttings during rooting.... something like a large tupperware box to do 8 cuttings at a time.

I put all of my cuttings in a glass of water. You can put some rooting hormone in the water if you want.
I took a nice thick cutting, I normally left 4 leaves on it but I clipped them to reduce perspiration and then I put them under a fluorescent light. I misted the leaves occasionally. If the weather isn't very warm then you'll have to use a heat mat or mini greenhouse which contains an inbuilt heat mat. The cuttings would be ready to plant into seedling mix after 2 or 3 weeks.

Do you take your cut from where it's new growth?or a older branch with bark on it?

This seasons, or new growth is best.
Here's an effective, simple technique written by TheTortoise>>>https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/21829576
To the OP: Kratom can take up to 8 weeks to strike roots. Be patient with the slow ones.

What he said. Kratom cuttings can take a while to show roots. Don't forget to change the water every so often.
