Help identifying Liberty cap
    #22363969 - 10/11/15 03:46 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

]Hello, so first off I'm new and if I did anything wrong with this post please let me know.  But today I was walking through my woods out for a stroll. Some parts of the woods are damp with plenty of rotting trees and stumps.  I found quite a few clusters of different types of mushrooms.  Out of cariosity I picked a few that looked similar to liberty caps, and btw I live in upstate New York so I know chances of finding them are very slim.  Going to put some photos of them below, just carious if they might be

Sorry, not libs.  Liberty caps grow in grass clumps in pastures that have livestock manure in them.  They grow in the grass, not directly in the poo.
