I thought some schools made that a freshman requirement, but I've never heads this happening to a transfer. I'd just live off campus anyway and say fuck them

that makes a fine vegan meal but only if it's not from animals that were exploited for their poop and only comes from grass fed, free range herbivores

I know how to cook. even if i could cook for myself in a dorm, which I pretty much can't given that you are not allowed even a microwave in the dorm rooms I would still be paying 125 a week for food that I don't eat.
the school is in a small town so rent can is around 350-400 all inclusive. the dorms are 3600 sharing with some cunt in a small ass room
their policy states that it is required to live on campus their unless you meet a few out of the ordinary requirements for a 20 year old, married, previously in the military and a few others.
their is an appeal process but the only requirement I meet is having above a 3.0 gpa and it is stated that will allow 4th students to live off campus if they pass the appeal process, im in my third year trying to transfer in
idk how to get around this but this is fucky

Find another school. This school sounds like a scam.

The college I attended also had this policy but I don't know they actually enforced it. There were lots of people that attended the college that lived in the same town as the college and surrounding area. You might check on how they actually enforce it. I'm not sure that they can because lots of people also commute and or live with family or relatives. I don't recall ever actually seeing any paper work from mine about this and I never once heard of anyone getting in trouble for it.
I think it was more of a scam to scare people into living on campus do the school could make more money,
The only positive note would be that it might give you a chance to meet a new circle of friends that you wouldn't have known otherwise.

Do you live near the campus already? Usually this policy refers to students who live outside an X mile radius.
I think your best excuse on the appeal, if the above isnt the case, is to tell them you have a dog that you got when you were younger and saved you from suicide and couldn't possibly think of abandoning him, but at the same time you are serious about your education.

My school wouldn't even let you bring back food from the cafeteria to your room. A microwave and that was it. The cafeteria food was terrible. And it's a scam too, students cramming all night need to eat late at night but since you couldn't bring food back with you, and dinner ended at 7, you had to buy it, probably from campus restaurant. About the only good thing about on campus living was meeting new people but I remained friends with none of them.

I got the option to live in an on campus apartment my freshmen year because I qualified with like only 30 other freshmen. They let me chose one roomie and I chose my other best friend who was going to the same college so he got to piggy back off me. We both came to the conclusion that we did miss out on some crucial things not living in the dorms. Many kids we knew met a shit ton of people in the dorms. I mean our apartments were like dorms but they were full blown apartments. They were actually really fucking nice.
I paid like 6k a semester to live in them. Benefits of living on campus are that you are forced to be around people and it makes socializing a lot easier. When we moved to off campus apartments our neighbors were fucking recluses. I went to my neighbors place once when I came home drunk and they were having a party. They were weird as fuck lol.
It's really up to you. If you think you don't care about being around others then off campus but on campus has its benefits.
You can make valid excuses for not being able to live on campus just figure them out and find the best one to use. They usually never deny them unless it's something fucking trivial. Doctors notes and shit are foolproof.
