So as the title suggests I have no idea how my grows seem to be doing.( im optimistic though.)
So first thing I did was some grains in pint jars which im having mixed feelings about.
Grain jar #1:
So this 8 day old jar I made from a clone of a very nice cluster of shrooms but growth does not seem aggressive. I have been suspecting the grains are maybe drier than optimal so ill change tek next time.
EDIT: why is there that very white very dense mycelium at the top?

Grain jar #2
So this jar is 8 days old too. I made it from the biggest monster shroom I harvested. Growth was going much better than jar number 1. You can only see little white spots of growth in pic because I shook it yesterday. ( too early?)

Grain jar #3:
4 days old. This jar I will probably throw away soon as I kinda forgot it for a few days before I inoculated it. I inoculated it twice so far with the same LC but not a speck of white is visible. ( it does have a different smell than the other ones which makes me think its for the bin)

Next Im going to show my brf jars which seem to be growing much faster than my grains. (Better water content maybe?)
BRF jars 1-5
All of these jars are 3 days old but I added more holes and re-inoculated them with the same LC yesterday. These are cloned from same cluster I used on grain jar #1.

Now next are my agar plates which I have 2 cube varieties growing( all the jars are penis envy).
Plate #1 (P.E)
This plate has the same cluster clone as grain jar #1 and all the BRF jars. It is 5 days old ( seems like a slow grower to you?)

Plate #2 (P.E)
2 days old. This plate as you can see I put 2 millet grains with mycelium in it after I saw that grain jar #2 (the biggest shroom clone) was growing faster than the cluster shroom jar. I might have a possible contamination on this plate which can barely be seen in pic or it could be salt from the water that I used for pressure cooking. ( should I xfer it to another plate?) Also I think the mycelium seems more rhizo than plate #1 and it seems to be faster growing.

Plates #3&4 (MDK)
So these 2 plates I used spores on them 6 days ago. Seem to be starting to grow ok although they do seem cottony. I plan on isolating these.

.
So I guess that is it. Feel free to tell me what looks good and what doesn't.

Talk to me folks.
EDIT: Plate #2 was in fact contaminated so I xferred it to new one.

Looking good so far manman. One thing thoughe. Be careful re-inoculating jars, you're basically doubling your risk for contamination each time. Other than that keep up the good work.

Yea I was a bit weary of that. But I only had 1 hole and 1 inoc point in my brf jars and figured id better go ahead.
Thanks its been a lot of fun actually.

Because I couldnt break them 0.0.
The millet got over saturated while pcing and became a clump at the bottom. It was still piping hot when I removed it but it still wouldnt break.
Today I used an oven bag to cook 3 pints worth of grains ( I can only do 1 pint per cook in jars) and found it much better to break the clumps. If tgey dont contaminate from xferring to jar I will keep using them.

They're infesting the substrate substantially faster than mine. So yeah I'm jealous

Actually 2 grain jars seem to have stalled. I will keep them for now to monitor growth with a market and we'll see.
Brf jars seem ok I guess

Hate is a strong word. That first jar clump on the top left looks off. Clumping and mush usually indicate too much water.

I was thinking they stalled due to being dry. The millet seems to do that everytime. I dont use excessive water my ratio is 350ml millet 150ml water without simmering. Could be cos of that too you know cos the water is always at the bottom during pcing.
Hate is good. I can learn from hate. Most ppl seem to hate dem clumps so ill keep using oven bags if they dont contaminate
