Hell, there are emails from the Hillary server cache that show GWB and Tony Blair talking Iraq strategy back in 2002
You mean before we invaded? Shocking... I suppose the liberal/socialist/progressive way would be to discuss strategy after they invade...LMFAO!

The Ecstatic said: I think you're referring to General Wesley Clark, but valid point nonetheless.
I was referring to Richard Clark, but there were many others who said the same. Here's what Richard Clark said:
Quote:
On September 12th, I left the video conferencing center and there, wandering alone around the situation room, was the president. He looked like he wanted something to do. He grabbed a few of us and closed the door to the conference room. “Look,” he told us, “I know you have a lot to do and all, but I want you, as soon as you can, to go back over everything, everything. See if Saddam did this. See if he’s linked in any way.”
I was once again taken aback, incredulous, and it showed. “But, Mr. President, Al Qaeda did this.”
“I know, I know, but - see if Saddam was involved. Just look. I want to know any shred-”
“Absolutely, we will look-again.” I was trying to be more respectful, more responsive. “But you know, we have looked several times for state sponsorship of Al Qaeda and not found any real linkages to Iraq. Iran plays a little, as does Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia, Yemen.”
“Look into Iraq, Saddam,” the president said testily and left us.
-------------------- I am in a minority on the shroomery, as I frequently defend the opposing side when they have a point about something or when my side make believes something about them. I also attack my side if I think they're wrong. People here get very confused by that and think it means I prefer the other side.

I remember seeing these quotes but for whatever reason I always attributed them to General Clark's.
Probably because he had a similar experience:
Thank you for clarifying

Wow... You would think more people would be talking about that.
