    #22359538 - 10/10/15 02:50 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Habitat:
PNW, king county, 500 ft above sea level, suburbs with old growth trees.
Lawn- grass, moss and thatch.
Gills:
Yellow, Pores!
Stem:
Turgid, yellow/slight red and blue tints, thick.
Cap:
Large, spherical, convex cap, black or dark brown with cracks in maturity showing through to red tones. Very slimy or moist cap.
Spore print color:
In the making, never done a pores mushroom spore print but I will double check it for practice!

Bruising:
Blue, brown(ish)

Other information:
Smells like other Pan. or Ps. mushrooms surprisingly.

Can someone let me know if this LBM is a Panaeolus species? I have found literally dozens of these mushrooms for the past several years in fall, spring and summer, recently having a patch identified as Panaeolus. Just wondering if I should collect Panaeolus patches I have found all over suburban lawns, dry them and steep them in a tea. Thanks for any I.D.s, I really appreciate any feedback!
