Hi everyone
in the afterglow days of my last few acid trips i focused a lot of my awareness into my body, and the effects very absolutely amazing. I did this because i realized while tripping how little i / most people are really at home in their bodys, are grounded there, ARE there, with their essence, light, awareness. I realized how much i'm lost scattered in the headspace, and that the body is the perfect place to ground oneself in, since it's always there, no matter where. I want to turn it into my temple. However, as the days went on, it became harder and harder to stay there full on shining full of light & energy. So i'm looking now for some kind of daily practice that helps a lot in cultivating physical presence. I guess things like hatha yoga & tai chi will do that? If anyone got some thoughts & experiences regarding this and can point me some directions to explore, please do so

Wow! I missed this -- fantastic!! and very beautiful.
Ya - when Thay made the point, we can spend our whole day at home with ourselves, we don't have to wait until we get home from work --
That had a big impact on me, and i focused on that for a while - wonderful stuff.
Yepp-o, Tai Chi can be excellent. . or Aikido, or any.. i gained a lot from tai chi, but i also view first people, american indians as a significant influence in my life, so ---
well random i know.. tai chi is good though.
Thich Nhat Hanh, Whitman, Lafcadio Hearn are some of my favorits. . . the latter is my most recent love. . . downloaded it a while back and then Wow. . . when I went into it. . magic and beautiful beyond I knew. ..
Celtic and Gaelic culture has always been incredibly beautiful, uplifting and inspiring to me. . . Archie Fisher hehe
and it's lovely to see how they're all so connected - Black Elk, Thay, Gaelic. . .
India, Japan. . the beautiful poets and saints from these places. . . so much in touch with earth.. .
more i go through the worlds, more i see how this is the source of our good things. . health, happiness, beauty, wisdom - being at peace - etc..
and, in every part of the world, there are nature-mystics. . . it's so lovely and beautiful.
The more i learn the more universal i see it as. . . like , every place.
so i've written about 20 billion words on shr,,, etc., but all comes down to love our mother earth -
have faith in oneself - and, be mindful of how we affect her. . . reduce consumption by 95% -- very easy !!
as i've known since very early childhood - we lived through an ice age - nothing could be difficult after that.
one big thing is - selectivity - in finding the best, humanity's most brilliant, geniuses --- they are actually quite accessible, i have found. . follow heart to the ones who make sense to your heart - who seem clear and good, beneficial and helpful
and then - one of the wisest thing they all have to say, is to leave off reading, and simply live in Spirit --
Dogen, Whitman, Milarepa, Ramana - and so many others - McKenna - and again, all of the most brilliant and beautiful say -
trust yourself, follow your heart - no one is smarter than you - you are equal to the greatest of humanity's beauty and love,
seek it and share it -- seek peace and share it, is found in every culture ( i used to share, now i see more beauty there )
and - being in nature.
You got it and it was so awesome to see your post ---- look forward to seeing others!!
Love and Peace
Jake
p.s. i made a nice little tribute page to Thay - (Hanh, zen monk from Vietnam who lives in france today)
it's the first one (of 6) on the 'time traveler's guide' page i made a while back and linked too. . .
since you mentioned tai chi - the one on liezi might be interesting - he was a taoist sage. . other poets lovely too. . .
a little while back i spent a month in the forest - with just two short books ( originally had intended none, but i found those two in my pack, forgotten, a week later - the most perfect ones possible for my time there! )
anyway - so that is extremely lovely. .. to do so
after the first 2 days, all the blah faded - after the next 3 weeks, i learned so much about patience, simply being - and how to wait. . .
and sang to the forest a fair amount
one line that played to me beautifully there was ' Learn to wait, and while you're waiting learn to concentrate,' by beloved Moondog - 'Do your thing'
expressed so well, and very lovely. . . Then I found - after 3 weeks I went on in to the town and to the library -
Got Rilke, Sonnets to Orpheus, translated by MacIntyre -
and understood it so beautifully and wonderfully - on a different level!! spending time in nature awakens so much - and i discovered so much - the normal path of peace is still the same. . .
Share it with the world.
Then later I learned, Rilke had written it during a three week period, too!!!!
life is very lovely. . .
once again thank you for such light and beauty and love that you shine.
See you around.
Jake
