I have a day old / semi dried mushroom with mud on it. Can I take a clean spore print?

So here is pics. As you can see its got mud and I've touched it all around with unwashed hands...Wondering if a spore print is still possible after a day of being kept in a box that was shaking about too.
I was going to use the spore print for a spore syringe.

You could put the spores to agar but spores -> syringe, good luck

It was a naturally occurring fruit form outside, there is almost zero chance of getting a "clean" print. You would want to take these spores to agar. Straight to spore syringe is asking for trouble.
You could also try to culture a little tissue on cardboard... eventually transferring to wood chips that you could grow out.

I dont have any agar...Didnt know I could grow straight onto cardboard either...
Im scrapping the spore syringe direction so what do ? I've already cut the caps off and placed them flat on some paper.

Save the spores until you get into agar.

You can also soak some cardboard for a day or two, let the excess water drain and then ad a little tissue on top. If you search "cardboard culture" or something similar you will find old threads about saving genetics with cardboard.

I took the caps off so Il have a spore print from the contaminated caps -> Agar etc.
And use the stem on wet cardboard cultivation. I have a question. The stems are attached to some wood with the white roots (mycelium?) Do I cut the wood and white roots off the stem butt ?

Don't bump duuuuudddeeee read the rules. If there is anything you have to have in this hobby it is PATIENCE!
I would cut it off...the whole mushroom is mycelium there's no use in keeping the sub attached to it.

Save the material/roots from the stems. Plant those into some wood chips. I have never had good luck with cardboard.
You need to go find more cyans. Start your own outdoor patch.

looks like you're sorted for the year!
I would prefer an indoor patch of Ps. Cyanescens but Il consider that too. My dream if to have a box completel covered in mushrooms all year round supply so I can have 2-3 every day ^^ Just a light buz to make life cool you know?

If you dont have agar you could also try to get a clean piece of the mushroom from inside to clone, using a LC cloning tek.

Its possible, but maybe i was just really lucky

I have had good luck making a syringe from a wild print. Sometimes I think that would mushrooms have less contams than indoor.
Speaking of indoor. It's very hard to grow (ps) cyan indoors.
