I figure this forum needs one of these threads.
I'm working on what I guess could be called a game engine for current modern browsers(Chrome and Chrome Mobile, Opera, but not FireFox or the new Internet Explorer because neither one has yet to implement ECMAScript 2015...). It's a lot of fun and I have a blast creating new problems to try and solve. After I have implemented all the features I want to implement I'm going to rewrite the entire project with a modern opengl subsystem, instead of the current canvas poop. I'll probably also port it to Java and C++ at some point because that's what I enjoy doing.
I also have an electrical engineering hobby. I'm currently awaiting some LEDs to arrive so I can build four 45w high power LED arrays. I have a power supply that I haven't yet converted and I also have a prototype for an arduino that will fit into the project to take statistics about the area around the lights(temperature, humidity, air circulation, etc).

Just bought a house with a detached garage. I'm currently working on rewiring the garage for my future projects. Going from 1 measly 15amp curcuit to a 50 amp, 220V line running into a subpanel at the garage.

and trying very hard to make a torus ring that is in the golden ratio and polishing rocks
plus making fireworks for bonfire night

I have a homemade meteorology station and I am using R and SciLab (MatLab) to try to do some weather prediction with fourier analysis and pattern matching. I also am working on an automated grow tent using arduino, raspberry pi, sensors and pumps.

Refreshing and strengthening my lock picking skill, reading two books on Bonsai, drying some acorns that I foraged, gathering bottle caps turn into pothole-mosaics, teaching my food-crazy dog to balance treats on her nose, and doing 25 hours of homework per week.
The homework is related to science and technology, anyway...
