Possible cyan variety?
    #22355757 - 10/09/15 06:36 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

Curious what these are? Found them hunting cyans in the greater Seattle area. I found them in walking distance from a Cyan patch. I will add a spore print once it finishes. Based on looks I believe it could be either cyanofriscosa or psilocybe strictipes? Not sure though

The only problem would be if he told you they were Cyans but were in fact a Cortinarius species.

Yeah man, that's not the way we do stuff about here, no need to be a dick to someone who's trying to help you. Each and every one us of are guessing. If you want an accurate ID you'll need to post more than one picture and fill out the ID request template.

Yup, way to get off on the wrong foot.  This is definitely a hobby where you should approach with some humility.  These fine folk spend a lot of time figuring out different mushroom species and how to ID them, especially the folks with the TI badge.  They don't get that by being blowhards.
