When i first came to the shroomery, people used to talk about the dead all the time, now not so much. Back then i didnt know much about them and didnt really listen to them a lot, after becomeing more a part of the scene I have a new found appreciation for them.
Seeing the Fare thee well shows in santa clara was awesome. I was sniffing a rose on seven hits of LSD the entire saturday show. For the rest of my life i will remember that rainbow over the stadium every time i smell a rose.
So absolutely beautiful.
Who was at santa clara or at soldier field?

The Dead are more poplar then ever. It surprises me how many people my age know about them. There is also a lot of Dead talk still on here every now and then

I was at Soldier Field for the 4th & 5th. Awesome weekend out in Chicago, drove 14 hours there.
Honestly though, they weren't the best concerts I've ever been to. Magical weekend nonetheless.
If you're into the Dead, you should check out Darkstar Orchestra & Joe Russo's Almost Dead. They bring the heat.
Billy & the Kids is pretty top of the line too, alongside any Lesh and Friends line-up.
I don't have huge hopes for the Dead & Company shows music-wise but I'm sure they'll be a blast.

Was at soldier field, all three nights in the pit. had a wonderful time, met amazing people [including ~3 previously unmet shroomerites]. Chicago was incredibly receptive to us, such love. Got to finally meet Illustrain, which was nice - we had been trying to get together for a few years now.
10/10 would do again

I was at Soldier Field all 3 nights and we had a blast. The scene wasn't as wild as it usually is, but it was still crazy enough. Everyone was so nice the entire weekend except this one lady who thought she owned the stadium. I almost knocked her husband out and then she started putting her hands on me and I sort of got dragged away before anything bad happened. The best parts of the weekend for me was when I seen my Grateful Dead art in the museum and being in the center of the pit for drums and space on the last night.
The Grateful dead still gets talked about on here. I think its just because they are in-between bands right now that they aren't being talked about. Once they start doing shows we'll see more Dead threads.
