After-burial outdoor times

It's been maybe a little over a week and I don't see much happening. It's been 65/40 NY outside the past bit. It's been rainy so field capacity has been perfect.... How long should it theoretically be before they come up? I buried them due to trich, but removed what trich i saw, first. Before I buried them I got at least a few 5 inches that were pretty dank [pic] I realize I may not get anything at all, but I wanted some by my birthday in nov. Anyone else have experience with colder outdoor grows?

well, I am in the deep south, but we had a cold front the last few weeks. Days were in the 70s and nights were in 50s. It took about 3 or 4 weeks for mine to start flushing outdoors. I only did 3 quarts to 120 lbs of compost.

Make sure it doesn't dry out, it will pop when it's ready and conditions are right........if at all. I wouldn't get your hopes up and maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised one morning.

Did some June 19. Harvested August 21.
At least a month, you may want to cover it with a bucket or kid pool, your temps are going down up there. You in upstate?
I got a few jars myself that were made to go outdoors again, almost fully colonized, I'm just a lil hesitant to put em out this late tho.

I am in upstate. I might have to put something over it. I should mention I put fully colonized coir substrate down... not jars.

I'm gonna check them today for trick and contaminated underneath the dirt layer on top. I used ash +topsoil [no grass] on top because I figured it would be good top nutrient

ash and topsoil??
that's new to me
I use just vermiculite and hpoo
even the indoor tubs are just coir and verm
seems like the ash would throw the PH off but im probly wrong
I know you have to be careful with that stuff in horticulture
and OP id say its getting close to end of season outdoors as far as cubes go down here in the southeast
may have a month or so left

How deep did you bury it?
I just toss it on the ground and slightly but completely cover it with perlite (not nutritious, and doesnt contain any further contams).
It may have to colonize through that soil now, causing it to slow down. Cubes like to eat everything then fruit. It may not have eaten all its orignal stuff yet and need some consolidation time.
I wouldnt mess with it to much or it will have to bounce back, unless you were going to change something. But scraping off the top layer over and over is going to be very unproductive. I would recommend removing that top layer possibility if the myc isnt growing into it. Then replace with perlite or verm. However like I said messing with it a bunch isnt going to help.
You'll get a good rain today.
EDIT: I agree the ash was weird to me also, I do know it throws PH off a lot. Morals like ash ontop to fruit, but I think thats about it. I really dunno.
hpoo is awesome, but with there only being a few weeks left. I would think adding any more nutes will make it impossible at this point.
I would think s/he really just wants that thinger to fruit with what ever it can do now, and not make a bed.
I also dont think suffocating it with dirt is a good idea. You want some light, and lots of fresh air.
Verm would work just fine. May need to grow into it a little bit.

Just leave it alone and keep it damp. A little contam outdoors won't hurt anything........may even give them the incentive they need to pop sooner. Not like your gonna do anything different if you find it.

I dunno either. It was not too deep, though. Maybe 3 inches? Covered with just enough to make the white disappear. Mostly dirt though

I likely will remove some soil to expose it partially

3 inches is a lot, should just need like 1 cm on top. Maybe thats what you did. Exposing it may just cause the myc to dry out.
But yeah I would either do that or remove it entirely and add a little verm or perlite. Then just let it be.
EDIT: Sorry read it again. Sounds like just a dusting. You should probably just leave it alone, unless the ash is really interfering.
With this rain, you'll prob have some soon.
