Yea I finally found sea veg agar in a health shop after weeks of getting wierd looks. No luck with dextrose or malt extract though. I did find liquid malt but I really wanna stick to the teks when it comes to agar.
Maybe ill see how much they are online
You can find powdered light malt extract at beer brewing stores. It should also be cheap online.

Well I'm not having much success with the BRF agar. I never have problems with mold contams, its always bacteria. If I germinate from spores on BRF agar the spores germinate and grow for a while and then stall. They are also growing up a lot instead of out like they should, can tell its bacteria halting the growth because of a dark ring around the mycellium and the smell.
I have made many jars taking sectors from the outer edge of growing mycellium and even experimented with dipping mycellium in H202. The result is always the same though. A lot of growth up and only a little growth out along the surface before it stalls.
I think I will try real antibacterial agar now since no matter what I do bacteria comes along for the ride when I make transfers and winds up stalling it.
I am thinking of using FURAN-2 antibacterial fish medication like in this tek:

BRF agar as in brown rice flour o.O?
IDK about that; the flour isn't exactly water soluble.
You can buy powdered potato dextrose agar online, or here are more recipes than you would ever need:

H2o2 isn't really that good for bacteria. I had success with frying a very young unknown mold to hell but I don't use it all that much. You are definitely not alone by the way I still have an unbelievable amount of contams on my agar. It just needs some getting used to.
If you are having a lot of troubles with bacteria then an antibacterial agar might help. Ask on the forums about the type of antibiotics you arr getting though because not all of them are good. I have antibiotic agar and sometimes I still get bacteria contams. When I was talking on the forums about it someone reccomended a specific type of antibiotics. Most of ny contams are molds though so I won't bother with it right now.

I've only worked with LME agar (LME is cheap and easy to get online, and it works well), so I'm not sure how BRF agar works, but I doubt that you need antibacteria agar. Are you doing a streak plate with multiple streaks (4-streak method for example)? Because if you are, then you should see bacterial colonies as spots growing around the plate, and you should be able to isolate the bacteria from the mycelium pretty easily. My guess would be either that your agar doesn't start sterile or it's not being stored in aseptic conditions while stuff is growing, or that you're not getting good enough separation when you inoculate the plate.
If the mycelium is surrounded by bacteria, then you've got way too much bacteria on that plate. You should only be seeing specks growing around the plate, and you should not be seeing any long stretch of film or anything like that.
