Great seeing all these finds! This morning was fantastic as I finally found some growing in the woods. Not deep woods but far enough to count in my book. Nothing like being outdoors enjoying nature in suburbia. I swear I even lost my wifi connection for a bit...

I would say most of those are caerulescens but I don't think the 3 I've marked below are, they look more like Gymnopus to me, which I find around caerulescens also...

The bottom 2 marked definitely aren't caerulescens, the one facing away may or may not be, never hurts to double check

Well folks, we went out right after the rain this past weekend and we were a little early. We found 4 but decided to leave them. Wasn't able to get back out until this evening and BAM! Couldn't believe how much fruiting occurred in 5 days.
I think these things are much more common than initially thought. I felt the same way last year but even more so now.

I tried my best to not start too early this year. Damn neared burned myself out before they fruited up this way last year. I made my first find on October 11th I believe. You cant tell from the pictures but many of these were in bad need of picking. A couple more days and they would have been no good.
This particular patch gets hit pretty good by the sun. This weekend we are going to try to find some in more shady areas.
Good luck everyone!
And Doc, judging by these crazy hauls, I'd say you are right about this being the year of the weilli:manofapproval:
