Haven't done enough grows to be sure, but: Anything from like 1.75" to 4" can work. Given pasty's excellent results with thinner subs (2-3in) and my best results having come from thinner subs, I'm leaning in that direction. IME they tend to colonize more densely, perhaps because more oxygen makes it to the center of the sub. You just don't want to go so thin that it can't sustain the humidity in whatever fruiting chamber, though truth be told this can be adjusted by reducing the FAE and/or misting, since the thinner sub will also produce less CO2 as a consequence of containing far less mycellial mass.

I spawned some popcorn casings and had double-overlay cause I didn't put enough hydrogen peroxide in my automated aquarium mister. I only got one mushroom so I cut off the head part where the seeds fall from and put it in a jar of LC and sprayed it all over a tin of PF cakes I made with gravel, cardboard, and bisquick in my microwave. I think it will be good cause B+ is so potent. Triggered yet? Only a square would say "a cube is a cube."
No, this does not look right...

I like to see the veil stretched or torn on like 75% of them to give the younger ones a bit of extra time to mature.

Understood but I'm guessing height wise the tallest one is as tall as it gets ?

I was guestimating Fridays as well or late Thursday. I have some small 2 liter tek going. Should I select one of these for agar? None really don't stand out as much except that tall one with biggest cap. Maybe second flush will surprise me ?

so nice and stocky. What size is that tub? I wouldn't mind having few fat ones like yours. Feel like mine are so skinny and tall. Orissa?

Cant wait to start on the mono. The 2 qts are almost done. I have a half pint of unknown strain almost done after the 100% shake to check for contams. I might g2g those as well or spawn not sure.

You should make a GLC with the 1/2 pint. That's really small for a grain jar....how do you shake it??

I bought some 1/2 pint normal mouth jars to test my sterile tek. That's actually what this dubtub is made from. 3 jars of normal 1/2 pint popcorn. I used a little bit of the jar and g2g to 1 pint oats which fully colonized then g2g the oat/corn to 2 qts of oats.
Then I forgot to label my 1/2 pint to test out a strain because I did not have agar yet. But it's fully colonized and clean. So I might do the same and go to 2 qts

Make a GLC duuuddeee! I filled up 2 60cc syringes from a pint of grains. Then knock up a ton of jars lol. If it's clean of course...that's one reason why people don't like GLC's.

I have had some nice fuzzy footed fruits in a properly constructed and maintained SGFC, IMO Lack of FAE can have something to do with it, but a lot of the time it's genetics.
The only time I say fae problems is when the fuzzy feet are more like fuzzy stockings. And the pins are so long and skinny..
The only time I've ever had no fuzzy feet is when the fae was at its maximum. Aka my open air grows and outdoor grows. Anything in tubs or fruiting chambers ALWAYS have fuzzy feet. Thus I just say it's normal. No fuzzy feet pics:

As you can tell under 15% humidity makes them hella cracked

Interesting! I still have some MS syringes. Those are 10 cc though, I'll look into finding some large ones like yours. GLC does sound interesting though, less hassle of g2g.

Definitely!
The largest one was 21g dry. As seen here:

The tray of bacterial shit in open air was 1.5 oz.
The cluster outside, inside 1 of the trays I like to use:

Them after fully drying:
