Can you delay fruiting without repercussions?

I am attempting to make a schedule with my monotubs, which makes me wonder about extending the 100% colonized spawn (prior to pinning) for a few weeks.
What happens if I cool my 100% colonized rye berry/cube myco bags in the fridge, for say, 2 weeks, then bring them slowly up to room temp a few days before I add them to substrate and fruit?
Has anyone had any experience with this? Will it remove some of its vigor?

This is from a thread like this. Theres a few of them out there.
Imho: how about making a second monotub so you dont have to do this?

Ah... Wise words from the man himself.
I have a game I play. The simplest procedure with only one PC cooking a month. I hate PC'ing. stinky, I have roommates...
Four myco bags fit in my PC... making four mono tubs.
Current plan is to noc up the bags, when 100%, make some GLC syringes from injecting/sucking water out of a myco bag. Cool the syringes for 3 weeks for next months noc'ing.
And in addition, I will keep clean agar dishes and start new bags with them periodically. I find the making of the GLC much easier than making LI syringes from agar dishes.
So thats why I seek figuring out a stalling method for a few weeks. I could stall the GLC or stall a rye myco bag. Right now, I'm thinking a syringe of GLC should be able to stall for a few weeks if I treat it well. I'm trying to determine its most desired handling to keep it strong and vibrant.

i keep my master jars in the fridge, they do just fine, i just take em out a few days before i plan to grain to grain new jars... im pretty sure a lot of people do, it causes no issues, ive had master jars that had dryish grains start to form primordia within a week or two of colonizing after leaving at room temp, fridging them kept them from pinning so i could still use them as master jars.

You should have no problem refrigerating the bags. To be honest you could probably leave it in a cool dark corner while you wait and it would be fine, but I'd put it in the fridge.

True. You can either put them in a fridge or in a cool dark place, although fridge is the preferred choice.
If I had two weeks though, I would prepare more bags so I could use that spawn to generate more spawn. But ofc that depends on your needs and schedules.
Anyway fridge is fine
