Your ignorance is shocking! Wait, no it's not
Your knowledge of economics and the markets is lacking, or you're just a liar
If you don't take my word for it, maybe you'll trust this guy:

So that guy thinks the market went up 265% since the bailouts. And if you had money in mutual funds, you made ~250%.

Willfully ignorant or just retarded? If you bought at the recession lows, you would have made that, but most did not
Example: if you bought acme stock at 50$ per share in 2008, and it dropped to $25/share, then came back up to $75/per share, how much did you make? 50% or 200%???
I know you're just being a dick, but I think it's important for those who just read these convos to know what a liar you are

In that example, you made 50%.
But the argument was whether or not the bailouts helped. And if you owned acme stock before the bailout, it was worth only $25/share, and after the bailout it was worth $75/share, so you made 200% "since the bailout", as I said.

I think everyone understands the argument quite well. But for your own special needs, I'll repeat: "The market as a whole gained over 250% since the bailout". Absolutely a fact, and confirmed by you in an earlier post.

Lol, you're fucking dense bro, the discussion wasn't about how much the market gained since the bailout, it was about how much people made, you only made that much if you bought at the lows, anything people owned before the crash did NOT make that much, and you know it, just admit it, or not and keep lying about it, I'm gonna keep calling you out on the lie as long as YOU keep repeating it

The discussion was EXACTLY about how much the market gained since the bailout. Let me recap:
hostileuniverse said: what do you think the GM bailout was? was that for wall street or main street? Falcon91Wolvrn03 said: That one was for Main St. hostileuniverse said: and do you know who took the losses from this bailout? Falcon91Wolvrn03 said: No one. There was a net gain from the bailouts. hostileuniverse said: so the small time investors, like myself and many others that I personally know, people with 401k's, IRA's, mutual funds; that lost everything we invested in GM, that was a GAIN? Falcon91Wolvrn03 said: The market as a whole gained over 250% since the bailout. Anyone who invested in the market made out very well.

Anybody with half a brain knows you're full of shit, give it up son, you lost this one by leaps and bounds.
Anybody who was invested in GM before the bailout, LOST money, they didn't gain the 250% like you insisted.

Only if you bought at the VERY bottom of the market, and who during the height of the recession could afford to do that? Are you really cheerleading the 1% now or just continuing lies?
You should really stop lying, it's very unbecoming

Again, the discussion was about how much the market gained since the bailout, as shown above.
If you want to argue an irrelevant point, then go ahead.

Hehe, Hilarious how liberals think poor people invest in the stock market.
PS.
The Stock market would have made gains with or without the bailouts
