The myth is making it harder for many legal americans to vote. My last ballot didn't count because the state changed the same day registration laws and the poll worker fucked up my address change.
Also not everyone has an ID or easy access to one. It cost me like $35 to get my certified birth certificate. Believe it or not that's a lot of money for some people.

It's also a huge assumption that a primarily Catholic community, with many similar feelings towards gay marriage, abortion, etc. as the GOP, would turn around and vote democrat.
I get that it's not in their best interest to do so but people vote against their own best interests for religious reasons all the time.
There's a school teacher on a documentary about the Koch Brothers that was torn between voting against Walker in the recall election because of the pro-life thing. She couldn't stand Walker. Saw herself and many of her coworkers and friends lose their benefits. Still voted for him.

Anytime someone votes democrat. It's against their best interest, unless they get paid by the govt, that tells you all you need to know about the democrat party

So you agree that voting democrat is good if you get something from them. Well, democrats will give you something; conservatives won't.

Hehe, Obumble spent $10 Trillion and rising every day, what percentage did you get from that $10 Trillion?
Conservatives at least give you the choice to spend money where you want via lower taxation.

burgerbrain said: Hehe, ballsalsa, I bet you have some skin in the game on this voting issue. It's sad that you're wrong about illegals voting, and really pathetic how you libs want to destroy the country from within using illegal aliens.
What is pathetic is your inability to comprehend. You call me a "liberal" and you think i'm gung-ho for illegal aliens, but that's just not the case. If we were talking about illegals diluting the labor market, your views and mine would probably have some significant overlap. I didn't ask you for evidence of widespread voter fraud because i love illegal aliens so much, I asked because i wanted to see if there was any. (it seems there really isn't much, and what there is, is just extrapolations from tiny sample sizes)
LOL to see if there was any? You're posting quotes trying to refute the fact that illegal aliens are voting. LOL Hilarious. Yes illegal aliens are voting and they are voting democrat. You are gung-ho for illegal aliens.
But i thought there wasn't any dispute...
Anyway, i don't know where you live, but i live in the Los Angeles area. This place is crawling with illegals. I quit my trade and went back to school, because the labor market is so saturated with illegals. I'm just not willing to bust my ass in a race to the bottom. Maybe that gives you some perspective about my views. I don't have problems with blaming illegals for the problems they cause, i just don't want to waste my time debating problems that they don't cause. However, if the myth that illegals are out voting in droves, causes the citizens of the US to get up off the couch and go vote in higher numbers, it could potentially be a good thing.
Yes LA is a shit hole. Obviously everyone can't just get up and change careers, like you did, for various reasons- so I guess they're supposed to just collect some welfare like the illegals do.
Yes illegal aliens do cause a lot of various problems (higher violent crime, more welfare expenditures, a decay of American culture), however the subject that was brought up was the illegal alien voting problem.
Actually when Americans get off their asses and vote is ALWAYS a good thing. The story of illegal alien voting is not told in main stream media but I doubt the sheeple would do much about it- they're too liberal.

Liberal shmiberal. You are way too focused in on the false dichotomy of the 2 party system. Reality is far more nuanced than that. You can't reasonably just lump everyone into 2 groups. Even if you could, logic dictates that neither group would have a monopoly on good ideas. If you really think its that simple, then you are mistaken.

Heheh, you think liberal is a party?
Obviously I'm not lumping anyone into two groups, that job is for liberal socialists

Why say that, just because you want to ad-hominem?
So what party do you generally vote for? This should show that you're not a liberal right? Since you think "Liberal" is a party.

what party do you think liberals vote for most often?
I've voted both ways. I tended towards more conservative candidates when i was younger, and i've moved left a bit as i've gotten older

As previously pointed out, spending during Obama's first year is attributable to the previous president.
So let's see, $8 trillion in spending, divided by 320 million people amounts to $25,000 per person. My stocks went up way more than that under Obama, so I got my money's worth!

But Obama hasn't raised taxes, except on the 1%.

Actually no, most if not all of that $10 Trillion is attributed to Obowma.
I thought libs wanted to help the poor? Do libtards think that the poor own stock on the stock market? HAHAHAHAHAHAH Hilarious.
Lying again I see. Obama increased taxes on everyone-and in different ways. Obowmacare itself is a fucking tax, or does that not count in libtard land?

It's not a tax if you would buy health insurance anyway. And if you couldn't buy it before, now you can afford it. Ten million more people are now insured.

I already gave you an example of conservatives helping the poor. If taxes are lower then the poor have more money to spend. Can you read?
So you disagree with the Supreme Court, nice one! LOL
By a 5-4 vote, the court held the law's mandate requiring Americans to carry health insurance or pay a penalty valid under Congress's constitutional authority to levy taxes. The financial penalty for failing to carry insurance possesses "the essential feature of any tax," producing revenue for the government, Chief Justice Roberts wrote. http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052702304898704577480371370927862

The bottom 46% pay no income tax. So a tax break isn't going to help the poor, but it will certainly take from their benefits. I can read; you just can't make a valid argument.

Four conservatives on the Supreme Court disagreed with Roberts.
