I don't have enough extra perlite on hand, all i can find locally is miracle gro brand and i don't really want to use that. I don't want to spend money ordering more so I'll probably end up bleaching it just to be safe.

Lost my 5th spawn bag to the Trich monster today =/ I suppose that's what I get for ordering them through a shady vendor shame on me
I need to get a pc, maybe when tax time rolls around, not too far off. Until then i think I'll try a couple sponsors spawn bags.

I used the miracle grow perlite with no problems...how much are you paying for those spawn bags if you don't mind me asking.

Well played sir, way too much, i could've bought a pc and made them myself and still had enough money left to go get a pack of smokes. I'll get there, not making things any easier on myself by making these bad decisions though. Live and learn right?
Yeah after some more reading i see many people use the mg brand and don't have any problems.

I just might do that here in a week or 2, thanks for the advice.

Here we are on the cakes, looks like a little cluster coming in on that one. Other is a pic right after misting/fanning to show the little glistening dew droplets, this is good right? I mist/fan about twice a day, early morning and before bed, seems like they suck up a lot over night vs during the day.
The rest of the jars, 1 is consolidating 3 are almost fully colonized and the rest are the pesh just moseyin along, honestly very surprised they're not riddled with some sort of contam. Still have a ways to go though.
Here are the 2 spawn bags I plan to use for monotubs 2 days after a massage, I think another week and they'll be ready to go. ~3 qts per bag, I think I can get away with using almost a full brick of coir (cvg) per bag in a 56 qt tub.
Thoughts/advice/suggestions?

Hmmm kinda thought there would be more input... meh, must mean I'm doing alright. That one cake is exploding right now, I'll have to post some pics here in a day or so, it's pretty ridiculous. Ton of pins on all sides, might try to get a video that goes all around or something, not sure how to share video on here though. Pretty excited! Can't wait for the other cakes to start boomin.

Yep I think you're doing great. That cake is 'bout to blow for sure. The spawn bags look good but if I were you I would make a full batch of CVG and split it between 2 tubs. Higher ratios are always nice. Do whatever you want of course, but I personally wouldn't use 3qt spawn with a full mono I use a minimum of 5. 3:5 ratio vs 3:10 is a big difference. Or use both bags for 1 big mono and have 6qt spawn..that's more ideal if you are sure both bags are clean. And hopefully those tall 1/2 pints colonize.

Twice is okay as long as things aren't drying out. I tried to aim for 3 times when I did cakes. When I woke up, middle of the day, and when I went to bed. Everyone's environment is different though so keep an eye on them!

I wasn't sure if I could use 2 different strains in the same mono, might just do 2 mini monos, haven't done any math yet... gonna sit down either in the morning or tomorrow night and figure out what I need. I just kinda guessed since typically 6 qt spawn will go into a 66qt tub with a brick of coir and some left for casing, that I might be able to get by with a couple 56qt tubs with 3 qts spawn and less cvg (maybe 2"-3" cake?). I'll probably just do mini monos and just kinda eyeball A 1:1/1:2 spawn/sub. Anything left over I could use to make a couple little trays to put in my sgfc.
Unfortunately i typically work 12 hrs a day m-f and 8 on Saturday so an additional misting isn't really an option. Luckily they still have some moisture on them when I get home, but over night they seem to take in a lot more water over a shorter period of time (they look much drier in the morning vs when I get home and i mist heavier before bed).
Thank you for the input, any further advice is always welcome. What would you do with those bags? I know you already kinda answered that but i mean more specifically, tub size, cake depth, casing or not (I know it's not needed for cubes but some people swear by it) etc.

If they are different strains then use 2 tubs. 56qt should work with 3qt spawn and half brick coir, 1-2qt verm and some gypsum...if you want a little more substrate then add a bit more verm.
I've noticed mushrooms grow more at night, during the dark period and seem to store up energy during the day. I could be wrong but that's my observation. Your misting should be fine.
56qt, 3", case if you want to...save some CVG when spawning. By cake I am assuming you mean substrate.

More than half brick, probably 3/4. I use a half brick for 27-30qt.

Thank you!
Got a crack on this little guy, RH issue? It's a weird looking crack, could be split? I'll have to keep an eye on it, other one looks ok, maybe just rehydrate the perlite to be safe.

A few quick picks from this morning, all the cakes have pins now, some pretty nice clusters too, I'll post some more pics tomorrow. The first 2 pics are the front and back of the first cake i birthed.
