I was walking through Eforest 2013. It was late saturday night and my wallet had been stolen and some wook bitch pretended to get raped.....that story is irrelevant other than I was already worn for the worse.
I walked next to 3 cops in uniform and one stops and screams at me "ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID?!?!??! YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING CRAZY!!!!!!!"
Draws his gun and points it at me
Starts screaming "THIS MAN JUST TRIED ATTACKING ME, HE REACHED FOR MY GUN AFTER ASSAULTING AN OFFICER!!!!!!!!"
The other two cops form a triangle around me the other two about to draw their guns...
I was so fucking high.....shaking scared at this point....saw my life flash before my eyes for real....I'm a 6 time felon, on drugs, with drugs on me.....the cop would justify it in every way shape and form.....
So I locked eyes with him and as firmly and deep as I could stare into them I said "I am a human, and you are a human, you know damn fucking well I didn't lay a finger on you or touch your gun, what you are doing right now is beyond fucked up and you fucking know it."
He lowered his gun and told his cronies to back off and said "Get the fuck out of my face"
I left the festival as soon as I sobered up. Haven't gone to another big show since. D_C and his mom were in fucking shock.....they didn't even have time to pull their phones out to video tape....no one did......I really thought I was going to be a casuality for a good 2 minutes, but it seemed like eternity.
My younger bro has also pulled a pistol on me twice.
Damn, that's fucked up. This is obviously on a much smaller scale, but that reminds me of how at Vibes this year some cops chased down some kids and accused them of "talking shit".
Ya. Anyone who says "Oh that cop was just fucking with you" is a fucking asshole. Pulling a gun on someone is not funny in any way shape or form for one. Two he's a fucking cop and is only supposed to draw his weapon when he needs it. 3 I did not fuck with him, so nothing warranted him pulling a piece on me. 4 that's the kind of joke that makes someone attack you based on fear, giving the cop a right to shoot me.
There was nothing funny about the situation. I bet the cop was laughing about it to the wife he cheats on all the time.....and to his closet homosexual son.....and his pregnant 14 year old daughter.....but that's called being a fucking psychopath and abusing power.

I've had a gun pulled on me twice. It's only scary the first time. I don't know if that's fucked up to say or not. The first time was a straight up jack move on me for like 2oz of weed something like five, six, seven years ago hell I don't even remember. But it does change you in many ways when you realize how real shit can get. The second time was maybe 3-4 years ago and I remember more clearly. I'd smoked my last bowl that morning and that night my friend and I were at my place and wanted to get some weed, we called up everyone and finally the last person on his list was the only one who could meet up. We show up at his place, and he flips shit that I was with my friend even though he told him both of us were coming. Before I can even apologize and excuse myself, some other dude in a yellow shirt comes out the door with a revolver and points it at us and tells us to GTFO of there before he shoots us. Put my hands up and walked away without saying a word, totally confused as to why these dudes were flipping shit for like literally NO REASON. We were there to buy an 1/8th of weed for like $50 and they practically opened the door with a gun aimed at us. How dumb. Now, I had a pistol in the car but I had no intention of using it on this stupid shit, but when I got back to the car in the parking lot my friend and I are standing there for a second trying to figure out what just happened. I did, just in case, put my gun on the driver seat cause who knows WTF can happen when these dudes are acting so sketchy. Before like even a full minute goes by, this yellow shirt motherfucker is coming towards us with the gun still raving like a lunatic telling us to leave. I decided that me going there to buy any amount of drugs and then ending up in a gunfight equals jail no matter what happens so I decide to just cool and calm get in my car and go. And so as I'm driving away he's got the gun pointed at the windshield, then he puts it down and starts writing down my license plate number. I'm like WTFever this isn't worth it for an 1/8th of weed so I left, confused and mad.

Never had a gun pulled on me
I can only assume it's for three basic reasons:
1. I don't associate with sketchy and scummy people 2. It must be way easier to get hand guns in the states. 3. I don't live in America.

never had one drawn on me and threatened with it but i have got knocked senseless with the butt of a .45 at a party after a fight got broke up.
most people down here carry guns everywhere they go. most people would be surprised to know that at least 49 out of 50 guns seen in public are those pulled by LEOs at traffic or street stops

This, Its nice to live in a safe country where people have the common decency to realise that human lives are more important than "liking guns cause there cool"
We still have guns. But they are hard to get and restricted and guess what we have never had a mass shooting since we did this, yet anyone who wants to own a gun still can.

restricting guns is silly. it just makes it way, way profitable in the black market and that much more in demand. its not about liking guns because they are cool there is nothing cool about pressed metal that has the ability to kill someone before they hear the blast. its about being prepared and ready to do what is necessary to protect yourself and your own.

Not really having a problem with Wolves up here. I think that's a lullaby pro gunners tell themselves to make them feel better about their desire to own guns
Well we are having trouble with Wolves, but real ones
I used the icon for a reason though hehe. Humoured to see where this thread goes now
In all these threads about gun control, same rants from both sides.

My mind is made up. America is fucked at this point. You take away the guns, like completely, burn them all....the mentality can't be burnt Tho and more guns will get smuggled in. So in Americas case, it's going to burn itself to the ground, guns illegal or not. I don't think it makes a difference at this point. 60 years ago...they should have adopted Canada's stance on guns and maybe they would have had a chance

You tell yourself that. American is in love with guns. You cant deny that.
Dont use the protection argument. Its either out of reach and useless or its out in the open and becomes a danger to your family and yourself which you are much more likely to use it against.
Science has proven protection isnt an argument so plz no.

Yeah but what about Switzerland? Everyone, even children, handles and owns guns of all sorts without a hitch?
And what about Chicago? Tightest gun laws in the country and highest gun crime?

switzerland is a whole different ball game. Handguns and carrying are still quite restricted (These two issues cause most of gun crime). They also enact what the 2nd amendment TRULY meant which is an armed militia not personal use. There ownership is about military use and almost all of their ammo is kept in community armourys and they dont just carry around rifles for "protection" and the average citizen cant carry around handguns.
Chicago is still america and still has stupidly relaxed laws compared to any other modern country.

truth is, the world is a dangerous place, with or without guns.
canada is just pampered, it's still a young country, not fully developed yet, like it;s just going through puberty.

I think everyone who wants one should own a rifle or shotgun but handguns should be highly restricted and really only police should have them.
I own a rifle and a shotgun and will do pistol training and get a pistol someday. In Canada it's much harder to get guns generally and handguns in particular and very few people own guns . You are never allowed to carry a pistol even if you are licenced to have one, except to the range and back.
And your gun needs to be In a locked case, behind a locked door, and ammo locked up in a seperate case.
And yes I do want to own a pistol even though I think sensible national Policy would only allow civilians to own long guns.
What upsets me the most is that my province prohibits us from owning body armour or bullet proof vests. I think it's unethical to ban people from owning something strictly defensive that can't hurt anyone can could save your life.
But I do understand why- they want to be able and shoot and kill you if they want to so they don't want you to have armour.
I also keep knives, pepper spray, baseball bat and swords hidden around my home and car and person because in a home invasion or assault I would never have time to unlock and load my guns.
I own firearms because I think there is a high possibility of a massive social and civilizational collapse and/or a global catastrophe .
I foresee a possible time in the relatively near future when there might be a desperate Life and death struggle for basic necessities like food, water and fuel. And in order to protect my wife, myself , my home and supplies I need weapons and lots of ammo.
Fortunately in Canada there are far fewer guns , in America it will be very hard even for the well armed To survive because of how many other people will have powerful guns. Post apocalyptic America will be a mind blowing thing, with more guns then people in that nation.
I need to buy a third gun and far more ammo asap. I want a pistol but my ideal weapon will be a semi automatic shotgun because I am no marksman.

I like guns too.
I don't want to have the RPAL though. It gives the police the right to excute a search on your home, without a warrant, anytime they want. Just so I can have a hand gun that can only be transported to a range? No thanks
I love the defender though. . Good accessory to ward of charging Grizzlies when I'm hiking

I never carried a gun when I dealt, even meth. I did keep 2 at home, though. I was only robbed that one time.
