New Finds Today:
#1

#2

#3

#4

Went to a know location today to do a round-up as well. Stumbled on another decent sized patch but unfortunately I was too late (#1). Thankfully though there were a few stragglers left (#2, #3).
#4 is a cyan patch that was 100 yards away around the block.
Known patch shot.

Pins are still coming up. They are few but look healthy; the rain should give them a nice boost.

Fresh wood when its done fruiting. Mabye plant grass. A little bit of fresh soil is good. Just dont over water it. Pretty much, fresh wood, and set it and forget it until it fruits again. If it freezes for to long mabye cover with gunny sacks. But bay area probably doest get that cold.

I was watching a small second flush at a known spot for the last couple weeks. I went by today to have a look, and someone had stomped / kicked it all apart.
Oh well, they helped spread some spores at least!

TODAY:

Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata.
Having a little time on my hands just before sunset, I let the mushroom life pull me back in and went to check on my ovoid find from this season. I couldn't believe my fuckin' eyes. Another flush is underway.

I had my best outing of the season yesterday. All were cyans and in known spots but I wasn't sure if they were ever going to pop this season. Finally, they did.

Over the last week I've been out looking probably a total of 10-12 hours and had zero luck.
I've been to one college campus, 5-6 parks all over the city, and all the front gardens and beds in my neighborhood. I've mostly focused on wood chip beds in parks along paths. In all that exploring, I've found no actives, just lots and lots of tubaria furfuracea.
It seems like most of the pictures you guys are posting are off sidewalks and in more residential areas. Is that where I should be focusing?

Residential (apt complexes), Office parks, public buildings, etc. Look anywhere that has a dedication to their landscaping.
Did another roundup session of some fruits I let sit to mature. Decided to do another sweep of the area and discovered another small patch that I previously overlooked. I am not finding patches with large numbers of fruits but there are still some out there popping up.

I have exhaustively searched known spots for new patches and started to turn my attention towards new locations but have yet to find anything. In finding this new patch last night night at a known spot, I guess another sweep could be beneficial.

I think those are Psilocybe stuntzii due to the olive cap color and annulus. It's extremely rare in the bay area, but it does turn up here occasionally.

I think you should check more college campuses, all bay area college campuses have actives.

I've often pondered whether they're stuntzii. But you do realize that this is the same patch that you IDed as ovoids last year, right? Here's a few more shots from this season:
