P. allenii. 1/7/16. UC Berkeley. New find.

I stopped by the campus to check on a known spot but ran into a new patch growing in woody debris on a steep decline. The specimens ranged from half-nasty to nasty. This might end up being my last new find of the season.

Checked some known spots today:
1)
P. ovoideocystidiata. A few new pins arisen from the recent rains.
2)
P. allenii. A youngster and some new pins at last year's 'magic spot.'
3)
P. cyanescens. A few stragglers I missed last time at the 'magic spot.'
4)
P. allenii. Some half-nasties at one of last season's best producers.
5)
P. allenii. A single specimen growing at one of this year's UC Berkeley finds.
Bonus)
Another half-pound preparing for a one way trip. This time after its departure I happened to find $700 laying on the ground.

I think you have some awesome finds but it's not anyone's business what you do with them or finding money. This forum is about finding cool mushrooms and sharing cool pictures. Nice finds though.

Unless it's against the rules, it's me who decides if it's anyone's business what I do with 'em. Thanks for commenting though.

It's not against the rules to say what you do with them. I'd delete entire posts about it for being off topic, but an offhand comment in an otherwise on-topic post is fine.

P. allenii. I was surprised today to witness a fair amount of activity at one of my finds from a month ago. There was, however, a great range in their condition...only a few specimens being perfectly healthy. It's strange because it's been quite consistently humid recently. I think what it is is that allenii really don't appreciate the cold, and perhaps ground temperatures are currently at a low from the drastic drop we had around the holidays.

3 new Cyan patches this weekend. The 2nd had the healthiest looking fruits I've found all season!
New Find 1 - Fruits starting to break down, soggy and black.

New Find 2 - 10 ft away from first patch. Most are fully matured, deep caramel color, creamy and delicious!

New Find 3 - Growing on a slope in an apt. complex.

P. cyanescens. 1/11/16. East Bay. Semi-new find.

This find this morning at the 'magic spot' bore no fruit last season...if it existed.

Nice! I have seen some pins popping up as well. Went on a post-work hunt to a known Alleni patch. Harvested what was there and decided to look around the area. 2 new finds - 1 Cyan, 1 Alleni.

There were also new pins popping up at the original Alleni patch. I feel that the likelihood they make it to full maturity without assistance is very slim. El nino needs to step his game up.
My amateur advice would be to revisit known patches and search the surrounding area. These new fruits I found tonight were located in places I had already visited after the initial discovery. If this season has taught me anything, it's that if you find a patch there is a high probability that there is 1, 2 or 10 close by. They do not all fruit simultaneously so checking back and doing a full search of the area is recommended.

Depending on where you are located, it may be. Again, I would revisit known locations unless you have some promising spots in mind that you know have a lot of potential.
