Those are beautiful - and I really appreciate being able to see how they've grown in a week, thank you!

I thought they were maturing slowly too. I'm glad you advised me to cover with leaves. I'm sure they wouldn't have done as well. It has been about 3 weeks since i first noticed pins showing up. Its been interesting baby sitting them. The temps have been low to mid 40's at night in the south bay. Still haven't seen a whole lotta rain here. I'll go wash my car , that should make it rain.

Possible Cyans; Allenii; or some sort of gyms and possibly another white species thrown in the mix. First find ever, feeling a little confident. Found in Morgan Hill in a local park by my house. They look dehydrated to hell and very light colored so I'm skeptical, but I'm sure at least 4 of them are cyans or baby gyms. I can update with more pics later, they look plentiful, thinking of irrigating them with a gallon or ten, the patches span out for 50 feet and the rest of the park only seems to spawn aborts from what I can tell, it hasn't rained here in several days.

I went back to the spot i had been kicked out of when i was picking ovoids and i found that the cyan patch had exploded.
I feel terrible because it was dark and i couldnt see how many young fruits i was picking, i didnt yank things out of greed its just i dont feel safe picking there and the spot is right in front.
Will the patch be okay?

Bobby2fish said: Do NOT despair, You are worthy enough and the shrooms want you to find them. But like the ladies they want us to work some to show we really want them. So do ALL the recommended tips before and while you are hunting. Take a clean sheet of paper and write down ( no need for blood, a pen or pencil will do ) the answers to these questions. 1) Are they found in this location 2) Where do they grow in this location 3) What time of the year do people see them. 4) Do they NEED moisture to fruit. I could type up many more but I don't wanna ..YOU are plenty smart enough to learn the requirements. One last thing, despite what You think, they want you to find them, but they 'know' it will take as long as it takes. Be SAFE.
found three total so far. im gonna keep poking around spots where i think they should be. hopefully ill find the motherload soon. gonna try my three out tonight for my lady friends bday

All dried up and indecipherable. They left a crazy brown print tho. With a dash of purple.

Sounds like ovoids to me. The prints I got from them were way more brown than psilocybes usually are, and they were crazy thick.

Psilocybe allenii. 12/19/15. East Bay. New find.

Today I had some much needed luck after three days of not finding shit. What started out as a small find on the periphery of a large planted woodchip bed eventually led to more specimens hidden among the plants...unseen on an initial walk-through.

But it was only upon recognizing the mushrooms' particular pattern of growth at this site that my gf and I began to uncover more copious amounts...and realize that we were, in fact, two souls roaming in the midst of an Allenii World. The foot high mountain of specimens seen in the third-to-last pic represents around a quarter of what we harvested. The pic following it gives an idea of the type of habitat that exists at the site. And the last pic shows a section of the sea of drying mushrooms that is now our kitchen.

Thank you, Lhun. But I gotta say, I'm a little embarrassed by that pic...the mushrooms are so sporulated and ugly. I cleaned the spores off every single specimen last night (not a fun task), and I'm happy to report that they're looking quite alright as they dry.
