source.

Quote:

GATESVILLE (October 6, 2015) A 27-year-old man arrested as he picked up a package containing pot at the Gatesville post office was in custody Tuesday, charged with delivery of marijuana.

Juan Manuel Valeriano was in the Coryell County Jail Tuesday charged with delivery of marijuana under 50 pounds, but over 5 pounds in a drug free zone.

His bond totals more than $50,000.

He was arrested without incident Friday after Coryell county deputies and federal agents staked out the Gatesville Post Office in anticipation of the delivery of a package of high grade marijuana that had been mailed from California, authorities said.

I don't get how picking up a package gets a person arrested?

So if I want say Donald Trump in jail all I have to do is send him a couple pounds of pot through the mail?

Not likely, because Trump is a billionaire and this guy wasn't.

America is trash.

They won't arrest him, but they will kill his pets.

the only way is if he signed for it.
I've never heard of a mail bust where someone didn't sign for something.
It's not your fault if someone accidentally mails 10 p's to your door

Exactly.

Something can happen to the body, but it will either heal or it won't. What's the big deal? Let life knock you to bits. Let life take you apart. Let life destroy you. It will only destroy what you are not.

Moral of the story:

Don't sign for your mail ordered pot.

There is a certain way they have to do it to bust you picking up a package containing drugs if they want the charges to stick, i posted an article about it if you want to find out how to legally accept those packages ?

How to legally accept drug packages.

There is another way, and this if they already had hold of all his communications and/or logs of him ordering, and following the package.

Lets face it, it is not a leap of intelligence to know that all our electronic communication, our telephone conversations can be intercepted.

It would be naive for anyone using the internet, or telephone, cell phone to believe their interaction with their counter parts were private.

That is why I assume nothing I do is private and the powers that run the world know how many peanuts is in my shit.

It is because of this for example that I refuse to carry a cell phone. In my mind, I don't wish to wear a tracking collar that also records my business.

Every now and then they will stake out a residence (for larger packages) and wait for the person to take it inside.  Then they will come in and do the usual shit (search/arrest/interrogate/etc.)  always make sure to look around before you take it inside.  It's rare for smaller stuff and I have never heard of local cops doing it, but it does happen and people should be aware.  Educate yoself

Also vitalux is on point.  If it ain't encrypted it ain't safe.  Even if it is encrypted, and the individuals computer is seized, there is still a good chance it isn't safe...as they can get in to a computer without an encrypted hard drive and get personal keys to decrypt your messages.

Be smart guys who play this game.  Make sure not to put large amounts of cash in bank accounts...etc.

Well, Quite obvious here: He went to the Post Office to pick up a package, as in, he was anticipating the package and probably signed for it or had to show id. They probably requested that he come pick it up after it was flagged to have contraband.
