Anyone using 5 gallon pots?
    #22343157 - 10/06/15 10:04 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I'm going to transplant my Salvia plants to much larger pots in hopes of fixing there problems.
I'm looking at these 5 gallon pots(because the 3 gallon pots are out of stock...):

I'm trying to get a relative picture of these pots so I can determine how large they really are. Anyone have some?

They're approriate size for growing large salvia plants. Much bigger probably not necessary in most cases.

I'm not too worried about them being the appropriate size, I'm more worried about them fitting in my bed room haha.

It is now irrelevant. I bought stuff. And I'm not proud of it.

I would imagine they would be the approximate size of a 5gal bucket. Maybe slightly shorter and fatter, but probably about the same size. I know somebody on here not too long ago was putting their sallys in large rubbermaid totes... That sure is a lot of volume to fill, but their plants were VERY nice looking...

'I don't know', Alice answered.
'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

I'm going to just pack 3 of my plants into the 5 gallon pots using miracle crap and perlite at around 40/60%, take the last two nodes off my mother plant(because there has been zero growth from her since February) and put them in an organic medium with perlite after they have rooted and then leave the mother stump alone to see what it does.
