Placing bulk sub on rusty metal shelf in GH???

I have some subs that are fruiting like crazy on the bottoms. I would like to take the subs off the tray and onto the wire rack so the fruits can grow through the shelf. The only thing I'm worried about is the rust on the wires. Will this be a problem for my subs? i scrubbed the wire the best I could.

Paint it.

So is rust bad for my metal wire shelving? Want to put my sub directly on it so the fruits can grow unfettered on all sides.

It's fine to put your sub on it.

Hey I noticed your humidifier was in you greenhouse, you should pipe it outside like this to add the bennifits of fresh air I use foam pipe insulation

I also paint my bags black with spray paint after they're colonized to avoid bottom pinning

while i don't think rust would be a problem for the substrate. i did see something a while back on metabolites eating through certain metals and mushrooms sucking up heavy metals. I dont think a sub in fruiting stage would have much if any metabolites hanging off the edge but maybe long term repeated use could affect the wire?
Anyway id say put it on there.

That's a good point. I hadn't thought about the fresh air aspect. I will say that the piped in cool mist blowes fresh air in pretty hard, so hopefully that gives my fogger fresh-enough air.
