Business Trip from NJ to England
    #22342313 - 10/06/15 07:22 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

I'm taking a business trip from US to England this month.  I've done this once before and rode economy seating for the flights.  the flight from US to England is 8hrs. I have scholiosos in my back and that flight is uncomfortable to sit upright for that long.  Last time on my way back home I lucked out and had 3 open economy seats to myself.  I'm thinking I want to ask my boss if I can fly business class because I'd like to be more comfortable on a long flight.  Do you think it's worth asking?

Imaging a new jersey accent in the UK pleases me.

If you think you're worth it, sure.
Need a doctors note? :borfase:

I'm in Joisey, too.

IDK how it is for the USA, but depending on the airline sometimes upgrading to a business class seat (if available) can be decently cheap and available when you're checking in at the airport (if they're not taken)

Last year I flew a lot between Ontario and BC for work and although for Air Canada the upgrade is ridiculous (like 400-500$) the upgrade on west jet flights was only 40-50$.

Also gives free access to food on board, and booze, which can be nice for a long flight.

Everything is cheaper in the USA, including flights, so it's very possible even if your boss won't do it that it may be worth it to upgrade your self, especially if for your own comfort.

At 4-500$ though it wasn't worth it for me. If it was $200 or under I'd probably do it, I was spending 50-75$ just on food and booze on those flights.

Though there was a big difference, Air Canada at 4-500$ has those crazy pod things where you can lay right down and sleep and all that shit. West Jet was just a lot of extra leg room and free food and booze.

 Worth checking into though dude

Why don't you just pay for the upgrade if it is such a concern?
