Question about tea preperation

So I'm planning on making tea for the first time soon, and was wondering - would using a pestle and mortar to grind up fresh shrooms (or truffles, in my case) work? Seems like it would be more effective at releasing psilocybin and psilocin from the cells then chopping them up. I know psilocybin oxidises in air, so would adding lemon juice prevent that? Or just enough boiling water to cover them?
I got the idea from the video below (via an online smartshop), looks like they use a pestle to mash the truffles within the bag first. My only concern with this is that you'll end up wasting some of the active ingredients on the inside of the bag.

The method I have always used is to powderize them as best as you can, and put them into emptied out tea bags. Bring some water to a boil, pour into a coffee cup, let the mushrooms steep for 15-20 minutes, then drink. I always leave the bag in there while I'm drinking it and gently squeeze it from time to time.
You can add honey to sweeten it if you like, but I don't find the taste bad.

Sorry, I should have specified I'm using fresh truffles not dried.

I've made fresh truffle tea a few times. It actually is quite good if you flavor it like lemonade(like an actual drink )
Personally, I wouldn't mash them. I like to mince them, kinda like you would mince garlic. Just small cubes (but big enough to be caught by a mesh filter). Add lemon to the tea before adding the truffles and just continue with the preparation.
I like to add sugar to pretty much make it active lemonade. Since truffles don't really have a strong taste when you make tea, it works well
