Libs but picking anything that looks interesting but not wasting time on it 100% looking for libs anything else im putting in separate bag, why not learn about other mushrooms on my hunt.....


Its like day 8 and it rained yesterday morning not sure what im doing wrong

in what part of the world do you reside?  are libs even common where you're located? (might be obvious to all once we know where you are).

and yes, there is much more to mushrooming than just IDing active fungi; they're all interesting to me.

as to what you're doing wrong...perhaps nothing, but you'd have to describe what you're doing, where you're doing it, and how much you've researched what you're looking for.  if you very carefully--post by post by post--read the last several years of the UK P. semilanceata threads while studying and committing to memory both the input by members about habitat, etc. as well as pics of liberty caps, you would know without a doubt that those aren't the goods.

nor do they look anything like liberty caps.  nor do they look anyting like a Gymnopilus species (if they even grown where you live).  and they don't bruise blue or have blue at the bottom of their stipes.
