psilocybe semilanceata hunting tips / identification?

King County has been so dry lately, and I haven't seen any cyans (although weather looks good later this week!) Anyways I tried my luck looking around for some liberty caps for a change. If anyone has tips on how to find them, it would be appreciated.
One cluster caught my attention, growing at the base of a grassy hill in a pipeline/natural area:

I've read the skin on the caps of psilocybe semilanceata should peel off easily? I had some success in peeling the skin (on the cap nearest to the 11" mark), but it wasn't very easy. There is no apparent bruising and the spore print seems black-brown.

If you find some liberty caps, I would love to have a spore print or two of them.

not them, as for tips, I've only found them once and it was in a cow pasture that hadn't been used for years.

Unimproved grassland is what you're looking for. This means that it hasn't been ploughed/dug over or generally meddled with in recent years. The reason that cow/horse/sheep pasture works so well is that beyond the grazing generally little is done to the land (there are exceptions though).
If you search pasture land after some decent wet weather or any time that the morning dew settles then eventually you'll find them.
If the field is large, check the lowest parts first (usually this will be the wettest part) and also the north-facing edge of the field if there is a decent sized hedgerow or trees. This part of the field will be in shadow for a greater part of the day and so will remain wet for most of the day and so will support more fungi in general.
They're small so walk slowly and if you find any fungi at all, stop, crouch and look around you in all directions, soon you become pretty attuned to spotting them.
Happy hunting!

Not much in the way of accessible pasture lands near where i live... What about flood plains & nature preserves with meadows? Most of them have been parks for around 25 years now...
Anyways, thanks for your responses, I might go looking later this week when we see some rain

It doesn't have to be pasture but it will increase your chances. Some guys on here find them on golf courses, football pitches...
