So good. Their drummers are all fucking insane.

yes, after their i think it was second drummer (or first?) died, they had to keep on with sick drummers, to at least capture the drums they always had.

RIP

Too bad Cedric is a scientologist.

oh sure. Relationship of Command is great, and so is there earlier albums and EPs. i like their earliest most, they started out with a almost completely different sound in their inception.

Mars Volta fan checking in, they are fucking incredible. First concert/music festival had them on the bill and that it still in my top 10 concert experiences years later.

Televators was the first song I learned to play on the guitar.

Very true. The last time I saw them was when they opened for Sound Garden at Bill Graham Civic Center and they completely sucked, a lot of covers and songs from their side projects. Not a single soul in that audience was moving to the music at all except for me, the stillness was eery. Closed on Goliath though, small consolation for an 80$ ticket just to have Sound Garden blow out my eardrums 30 minutes later.

Didn't surprise me that they split soon after, all good things must come to an end.

i was trying to find another one but this one suited my expectations. sometimes they're like a bit... well at least Cedric can lose his voice sometimes, and that's mostly about it...they have alot of good videos on youtube.

You mean the audience or The Mars Volta, because they've been clean for a while I thought? The audience picked up their energy right afterward, two mosh pits sandwiched on both sides of the stage.

their shows are nuts they always have this trippy psychedelic modern art painting that changes with the lights
and cedric just flips through a black book off stage presumably full of improv for between sets
the bassist did a pretty sweet solo too before day of the baphomets, had this crazy echo and dampener effect
fuck-ing -cray-zee!!
