I'm unsure if I made a mistake purchasing a filter.

Is this a proper filter to make a laminar flow hood seems to thin now that I see others

These are all the specs I possess

41.5 X 17 X 3

Minimum Efficiency: 99.99
Micron: 0.3
Target (W. G.): .49
Velocity (FPM): 100
Airflow (CFM): 401

So let me know if I made a mistake.

its pretty thin @ 3", and has a low water gate.
ideally, u want 6" depth (usually sold as 5 7/8") and a WG/SP of .8-1"

u can try it though
i'd build walls around ur filter coming out so ur work space is partially enclosed.  it will make up for any weird eddies or weak points in flow caused by thin filter.

Thank you so much I truly appreciate it, I'm going to take your advice maybe instead of one prefilter, two different grades might help. Going to test it out by buying some agar plates and putting them in front of it, hopefully I won't need to keep trying to make it work.
