are the grains all pressing up against the sides? looks like they are a little extra wet or bacterial. can you post a close up of all 4 jars in the front on the first pic?

bacterial as fuck . sorry bro.
icecream looking thick white is a clear indication. another is the wet spot bacteria surrounding the grains in on the glass. top fruit them or shoebox em. def do not expand them.

Looks like they were prepared too wet. Maybe bacterial. I would try to use em
The one on the very right Bottom looks the worst

When you say don't expand them, do you mean don't mix them coir? I thought I took pictures of the plates I used, but it looks like a didn't this time. But they would have all looked roughly the same as the plates I circled in this picture.

When I was preparing the oats I followed your oat prep tek and only had light water spotting when I pressed a paper towel against the grains. Should I try getting them even more dry than that in the future?

The circled plates look the most sketch out of all the plates in the picture.
They shouldn't spot the paper towel much if at all, thats the test they should leave at most a few spots after some time. There's a picture in my tek

Why would you say those plates are sketch? If they are, I may have unfortunately done sketch agar to grain on those other 30 jars in the picture with the same kind of plates. Oy vey... Which plates in the picture would you say would have been a better choice to either sample from or do agar to grain?
I'll definitely wait next time until they're even more dry, though. Thanks for the tip.

They look like mold more than mycelium. Concentric rings too
Plates 2,11,12,13 are ones I would have used.

So my first harvest was succesful Had a 60qt tub with 4 quart Spawn to one brick Coco And 30qt tub with 2 quart Spawn to half brick Coco And two quarts got fruited in their own jár because some bacterial infection
Dry weight is around 140g from first flushes
Pics:

One question:
I know right Surface conditions prevent side pining But as my sub shrink and i spray the water, droplets on the Sides of the tub go all the way down and make the conditions right for shrooms to grow. How do you avoid this? I want to be able to grow without liner but as it stands now it seems impossible. Does right surface condition means to keep the sub moist enough to prevent shrinking ?

Sorry to bother you one more time Bod, when you're numbering off the plates, which way are you counting (i.e. left to right and top to bottom, or ?).
Also, here's a picture of my new jars that I started on Feb 24 that look like they will be ready in another couple weeks I think. Do they look better (i.e. not too wet or possibly bacterial) than the other ones I posted?

Thanks again for the replies.

Hi all! Just spawned 6lbs of colonized spawn to 10 lbs of substrate in recommended tubs. I have high hopes for this tek. Read every single post in this thread. I will post updates as things go. Also i am aware lids are upside down in photo my people don't know how to follow directions. It is fixed and all is well.

I was always told that the rings in agar was just a sign of temp swings is this fake news? Should I not see rings in my agar growth?

Are you fruiting or colonizing in this pic? Sorry, noob ..
Can you use just a normal desk lamp like pictured for this tek?

Both and its the bulb that counts not necessarily the lamp. 6500k for 12 on 12 off is recommended
