So maybe the fifth flush? Not sure how that works lol

This guy I know used to grow dickloads of shrooms back in the early 90s using pillowcase pasteruized poo but he "pasteurized" at 180F
he admittedly threw out 1/3-1/2 of what he did and said he saw mold on nearly everything but got good crops a lot of the time hence the pounds of mushrooms. He's half the reason I got into growing shrooms in the first place.
people have been doing this for decades. only now has it been made so simple. why put yourself through the ringer. use a couple bucks worth of coir and call it a day. Coir still won't make up for not having clean spawn but it also takes me 15-20 minutes to boil enough water to make coir for 3 tubs and it's ready to use when it's cool enough.

I hear ya. I am working in that direction with my latest tubs. I dont know why I make things so hard. Dogma is a great term. I want to do things the "best" most "natural way". I always push boundaries and rules. Its what has gotten me where I am in life. So I am buying into coir for now and I'll see where it takes me

Im thinkin mine looks similar. Kinda cobwebby. Lots of knots that appeared 5 days ago but no changed. And the second tub has a nice pinset but have seemed to stall. Any thoughts on either? The pins appeared 4 to 5 days ago as well and havent grown much

I'm never a big fan of when the pins look like they do in your last picture. I call it telltale something is going wrong

Mist regularly, but don't drench, they will survive. Make sure the lid is cracked.

Panaeolus cambodginiensis (sandose) in BODS UnMoD tub

Slower pin set in the middle of the tub, but still works
Didn't care for it much, no need to hassle about modding your tub with poly and shit, the tub is still doing its thang, whether it be Pan, cube, or mexicana
big ups to you bodhi..

I generally will flip the lid over as the substrate nears full colonization or anywhere from 50-90% colonization. It's not rocket science and you'll need to develop skill and experience so try shit and learn. This means I am putting the tub into "fruiting conditions" a little bit before full colonization.
Reading the clip above from BOD's original post. I had a question. If I turn the lid over as stated when it's almost done colonizing do I just begin mist and fanning every 6 hours otherwise leaving the tub sealed. With a 12/12 light schedule.

I've never flipped my lid.
But I have freaked out once.
And the attraction is you aren't cutting holes in tubs. You aren't Modifying any factory made parts.

Just to be clear so I don't fuck up when I try this, you have the lid right side down during colonization, meaning no air gaps, then around 50-90% colonization you turn it upside down for fruiting? I know it probably seems obvious in your post but don't wanna screw things up ha. Thanks Bod!

In my mind, this tech teaches you the basics and has ultimate flexibility. You learn to read what the myc is telling you and open it up or close it down as needed. And with the lid on top in any cockamamie ways, you'll get fruits - so even if you aren't quite learned its not going to ruin your grow. Trust me - you'll start to figure out what they need when you jump in.
Its beautiful man...

After putting coir and mixing it with spawn, do i have to cover the whole tub to stop the light from going inside or do i only need to close the tub?

You dont need to cover the tub. Just keep the lid on until colonized
