In Bod's post he mentions that it is expected each quart jar should yield 1-2oz of dried mushrooms.
Is this just 1st flush only, or does it take into consideration multiple flushes?
Thanks

I believe it’s all together. Like each quart of spawn should get you 1-2oz total ideally

for the 54qt do you use 650g of coir or 800g, in your substrate tek you mention 650 and 800 just want to be certain. Thank you for everything!

Say I´m wondering, do the tubs have to be airtight since they are put into fruiting with top-down lids from the start?
Or is it just a coincidence that these containers happen to be airtight?

I'm in the process of using this tek. So far I have pins starting but the substrate has dried out more than I thought. I started to mist to keep proper hydration. Otherwise Shrooms look good
It might be because outhouse is dryer r/t winter heating

Containers shouldn’t be air tight, if they have a rubber gasket to make it so, remove it. You need passive FAE from the lid if you’re using a shoebox.

Anyone purchased and used one of the tubs Bod recommends recently? I got a set of 4 and all 4 have an airgap around the entire perimeter with the lid on upside down. Maybe the manufacturing has changed?
I'm going to try it with the lid on the normal way, I can see a small airgap at each lock.

Aren't you supposed to have an air gap?

I beleave 650g coir is suitable for basic +60quart monotubs mixed with 6 quarts of spawn.

A more common recipe is 650g coir, 3qt Verm and 4 qt spawn. That gives you a 1:3 ratio

Looking at his Tek I interpreted it as only having an air gap at the 4 lock locations. I have a 1/8-1/4” gap around the entire tub with lid upside down.
Is my intrepretation wrong and you should have a gap all the way around?

You’re really just splitting hairs bud, as long as there is some way for fresh air to exchange then you are good. Keep it as it is for now and if you notice your sub drying out reduce the gap. It’s really just trial an error as you dial it into YOUR specific conditions. People can give advice but it always comes down to the specific conditions in your grow room/space so adjust as needed. Hope this helps.

(This is my first attempt at cultivation)
12 pints of substrate inoculated on 02/10/2022 with Z+. Started to see mushrooms growing in the jars around 03/09/2022 so the next day I went ahead and put the spawn into one of Bods unmodified tubs with 650g coir.
One question I had was looking over Bods material he says colonization and fruiting conditions are kept the same, so should I be worried about misting in the first few days or only once I start to see the hyphal knots etc.. ?
