I don't think either really make a huge difference at this stage, on principle I tend to keep my spawning subs semi closed so generally keep the lid on correctly and flip later but honestly if you consider unmodified tubs offer permanent ge, I can't see what difference it would make to have the lid flipped as the gaps are generally tiny anyway.

Well as you said, I shouldn't be concerned about condensation at this stage, but that's the difference it's making; upside down, no condensation, right side up, a little. I'm just used to seeing condensation, so it was a concern, and I have no experience with this tek, and traditional mono's were too long ago to remember.

Condensation takes a bit of time to cover the walls at this early stage, have you allowed the flipped lid tub time for condensation to form? If you have and still find the lid right side up works better then flip it back and continue with it that way until you're ready to fruit. When I run unmodded tubs I keep the lid right side up until I mostly see fullish colonization and then I flip to introduce fae.

Yeah, that's how I do shoeboxes, keeping the lid on till fullish colonization and then going to Bodhi's shopping bags with a few small holes. He does that the whole time, and thinks it speeds things up in both size containers.

Hey all! First time growing. I'm about 7 days in here. Anything look abnormal? Forgive the colors, my grow light was on and didn't have time to get better lighting before running out.

Temps in the room range from 70-74. Not sure about RH, but it's high.
Thanks again to Bod for the detailed TEK.

You are amazing Bod! Thanks for all you share. You, and others, have been a great help here! Coir next, as I have been using compost..

Thanks Bod, did my first 54qt using your Tek. It worked great, I appreciate you sharing this.
Low touch, holds conditions way better shoe boxes. Made for a much healthier grow!

GT MS. Not quite a full canopy, but next time for sure
Thank you.

Are you leaving the lids on your tubs through the whole process and once you put your colonize rye in the tub can you go straight to fruiting

We mist when there are no small beads of water on our sub or when the sub is dry, that's clear.
But how do we know when to fan or increase FAE? In my situation the lid is upside down and there are beads of water on my sub for 4-5 days now, without any fanning or misting... Mind you, there are no pools of water, just beads. So how do I know when/whether to fan/increase FAE?

It sounds like it’s balanced well right now.
I would leave it and when it pins you’ll know if you need to increase fae by the way they grow.

Would fuzzy feet count as a sign to increase FAE?
I'm having two tubs, one is doing great, the other one not so... Here's how the dodgy one looks:

Would you increase FAE in this case?
