Lid is flipped. Should I open her up a bit more? When I did test, quite a few drops came out but stops as soon as pressure was relieved.
Edit: are you saying that because of how the coir looks or the cotton growth? (Just trying to see how I can see that)
Because it's so wet, should I drop temp from 75 a bit?

Nice job. That look to the caps is from them being on the wet side. Next time a little less of that and you'll probably harvest a little more.
Thanks for the feedback, keepin an eye on it

Hey Bod, or someone I have a question. So after I harvested my first flush it seems like my sub is much dryer than it was before, I mist twice a day but it continues to dry.
My question is this, after the flush, do I treat my tub as I was while it was colonizing?(lid

You could pour water in if needed.

Excuse my ignorance. But itβs fine to just grab a bottle of water and power over the sub? Even if it leaves little pools of water on the surface?

Yes then dump off the excess after an hour or two. I'd use tap water

After first flush Im having trouble keeping a moist surface, it seems to dry out very quickly, what can I do?
Would leaving the lid right side up be out of the question?

I never flip lid and have no issue: try rehydrating with a heavy misting and bottom water 2-3 days after first flush harvest... dont obsess too much about droplets, as long as there is moisture present and its healthy, itll flush again and yields will be comparable whether you get another prolific flush of mid sized fruit, or fewer larger fruit... the droplets aren't nearly as important as trditionally touted IMHO

Do you leave the water in there or you dump it afterwards (bottom watering)

I've gotten it down to not really having excess, but dumping it after a few hours is fine

Spawned on 19 Dec. Have pinning this morning. Havent done a thing except 1 mist yesterday, otherwise lid has been flipped the whole time. Room temp is 75Β° room humidity is 50%-60%. Ambient light from white curtained windows.

Anyone else finding that they need to mist like 4-5 pumps 2x a day to make up for the evaporation with this setup?

Not at all. I just had to open my lid a bit because it was getting too damp.

Man that's crazy...well my sub started out too dry I think...
It's weird tho cus it's only dry on one side and the on the other side it gets progressively damper until the edge where it's nice and wet... which is where most of the pins are...
It was in another smaller tub 1st until I got too many side pins so I put s layer of field capacity coir down in the unmodified tub and put down some 1/2 pint Mason jars and took my whole sub out like a cake and am using the unmodded tub as a humidity chamber...

Crazy. This has literally been really easy. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have had to do anything at all. Its pinning like crazy. Limited side pins. For a first grow, I couldnt have asked for it to be better. I'm a believer in the Unmodified.

So, I may have spoken too soon. They needed harvesting yesterday. 306g wet on first flush. 1.1 oz dried. Problem is, fruit never got very big. There were maybe 3 that were like 4" tall with a .5" stem, the rest were smaller. Tall and skinny with caps about the size of a nickel. Research shows I need more FAE so for second flush I'm gonna angle the lid during the day and keep it flipped but covering at night. I was also running a heated humidifier in the room that kept the humidity at a constant 60% or so. Gonna only run it when I see room humidity drop below 30-40% Harvest Tek worked awesome though Bod.

Oh and no real side pins to concern about. All I did was lightly tamp about 2" from sides and then leveled off coir.

Results from this tek, first ever bulk grow, started with a PE6 spore print.
Thanks Bod!

When spawning I have in the past used a trash bag as a liner. I mixed in the trash bag and then put into the tub. and then pushed it flush to the corners and tried to make the surface as level as possible you should give good attention to making your substrate surface level.
Currently I completely avoid use of a liner at all period. If you look at my harvest TEK you'll see I get no side pins even without the use of a liner.
Using a liner is a crutch to help with side pinning, side pins can be avoided by proper surface conditions and a nice flat even level surface. If you chose to use a liner a clear one works just fine, it works by preventing a micro-climate at the sides, light has nothing to do with side pins.
Bod, can you elaborate a bit more on how you avoid side pins? I've watched the video but still have a few questions? How much pressure are you putting on the substrate when evening it out? Are the sides more compact than the middle? My first attempt at this tek and I have quite a few side pins. I would like to avoid using a liner if possible. Any additional information is greatly appreciated. I appreciate your teks!

Practice is the best way to get rid of side pins not reading or watching vids. I haven't measured the amount of pressure you just have to learn by experience and feel. "Medium pressure" ? not the same for you and I.
Yes the sides are more compacted. The surface being leveled isn't compacting it at all
