Appreciate it, having a run of bad luck right now. Recently got an impulse and list a lot of grain to poor sterile procedures. Just did a test bag though and found that even with .2 micron filter patch i can pre seal my bags. Thanks for the help and consideration.

Hey this tek is working great for me! but my first flush, the stems are all a bit thin, does anybody ever tilt the lid a little so there’s more air coming in on the sides. Going to try it for the night and see if they respond well. Does anybody else ever do this?

So I shouldn’t have to mist during the spawn run right? There isn’t a crazy amount of condensation in my tub, just along the sides where the substrate is touching the tub. But it’s still colonizing along. From what I read, I should mist once 100% colonized to get some beads of water on top? I’m using a 32q tub with lid flipped right away

How long do you typically wait to innoc? I used a spore syringe 6 hours after PC. and have a pea size starting in one jar after a week. everything else from the tek was spot on.
Thanks btw

2.5-4 inches will work.
Fan is dependant on the airflow/humidity in your house.

Hole needs to be 1/4 inch, I personally stuff with polyfill, stick nickel sized cut SFD's on with temp resistant silicone(RTV I think?)... others use loosened, unmodified (1pc plastic) lids...

Plastic lids? Wouldn't those melt in the pressure cooker? And if I use filter disks what micron should they be

Ha. People like to make up for not dialing in the small important things by adding frivolous extra shit. Get the small things polished and perfect and then try and experiment with additives. That way you know you're measuring if they actually do shit.

You can use whatever material you prefer. And use 1/4-3/8 holes

They're sterile filters those are always 0.2 or 0.22 micron. And there is a lot of kinds of plastic. Use the ones that don't melt. They don't make plastic mason lids out of plastic that melts in a sterilizer
