Just realized the corrugated side walls provide a very nice pinning environment lesson learnt next tub to be flat walls... plus i must fucked up surface conditions by too much fae.... still promising pins on top surface . Thanks again to bod
Gives me an idea to cover the surface prior to pinning with a convulated plastic of sorts maybe a bubble wrap to create that perfect microclimate, its a bit challenging down under atm with temperature between 72 to 85 plus rh swings between 40 to 70...

It is indeed... just that it was my first time n i was a bit overzealous with keeping the lid open fairly too much. The surface did dry out a bit on me few times n i would mist lightly to restore moisture. While the side convulated walls provided continous ideal pinning environment
But seriously dude ur teks n efforts to promote this knowledge rock. I must acknowledge pasty's pastyplates as i did agar on them coz could find reliable petris.
About clone this one pin that is growing as pioneer my understanding is to slit the stem n take fresh tissue n put on agar, all in SAB. Do i wait till it become bigger fruit or is their an ideal time to do this.
Cheers

Finished reading all 139 pages. Only have one questionβ¦.
How much should I mist the walls?
Thanks everyone for the contributions, and please don't answer the above question. One thing I was hoping for, but never saw, was a Pan Cyan, tamp, or mexi's grow in one of these bad boys. The idea was thrown aroundβ¦β¦.I'm gonna try something with pans soon, but being a first go at it, definitely am not confident on the outcome.

Don't mist the walls, or even pay them mind: maintain surface moisture with light misting, allowing evaporation to occur between mistings to stimulate pinning and avoid over-saturating the substrate

Ha Thanks. My question was supposed to be a bad joke. But your answer is actually a pretty good summary of the whole thing. Love the simplicity.

So itβs been 3 days and not a lot of activity.. I thought the surface looked dry but Tub A appears to have an amount of excess water in it so apparently I donβt know what dry looks like Tub B has no excess water pooling but also is slow activity. Any reccomendations for redemption of these tubs yet? Should I drain out this water?

Just an update couldnt resist n tore off one of the mushies that was almost 2inches high.... the stem was very hollow, is there something i need to do ( rest of tub is still fruiting) or is it a genetic thing.
My temps are bit higher 75 plus even crossing 80 sometimes.
Thanks

Likely genetic/conditions... I'd roll the temps back to 65-70... much higher is a breeding ground for contaminants (especially bacteria)

What other species (medicinal/edible) would perform well in an unmodified tub? I saw Bodhi's Reishi grow, that was sick.

I've seen oysters in shoeboxes: don't see why it wouldn't work in an unibod... got a link to this reishi grow you speak of by chance? Have some colonizing currently

I've always seen oysters fruiting off a vertical surface. Shoot me a link if you can find those shoeboxes. Thanks
