Could do both is what I'm saying... and there's a huge market for "locally grown produce" in restaurants... granted, edibles are nowhere near as profitable as psyches, but it's a valid option with the proper channels...

Just adjust surface conditions, and be glad it's fruiting!

Hi guys, any idea why my tub is not pinning on the surface, it's been 19 days since I first spawned to bulk? RH is at 99% temp is 24 degrees (75F) and I can see droplets of water on the surface. Here are some photos:

Put something flat and rectangular and place on top of the Substrate (like a cutting board), push down with the palm of your hand and flip the whole tub 180 degrees. Voila you now have your substrate in your hand like a wait or carrying plates or whatever.

Hmmm hard to tell but it kinda looks like the substrate is on the wet side..
did you pack the substrate down when you made your tub? When I accidentally pack too hard I tend to get side pins.
Got three unmodified PE monos going right now.
Spawned 12/5 (58qt) 6qt spawn
Spawned 12/2 (58qt) 6qt spawn
Spawned 11/30 (30qt) 3qt spawn

I've been buying the same mushrooms from a link that has been growing for 10+ years easily now. I used to sell a while back and bought pounds and pounds and pounds. They always come in the same unique ziploc bags, cleaned up the same way, same substrate stuck to some of them. My friend who is still in that line of work still gets the same mushrooms from the same network.
He probably deals with one single dude that does all the day to day business. Seems to work out for them.

Spores are legal? You think cops or something have the time to be sending spore prints to random internet cultivators to try and start some kind of investigation?
Nah dude

Subs are pretty tough once colonized... unless they're contaminated... can also be floated by running water down one corner and flipped by hand... though cutting board or something similar is probably best...

flipped her this morning with the cutting board, about 20+ pins on there with lots spots that looked like knots already. She has a much better surface on her now that is plenty moist and glistening.

Glad it's turning around for you. My tubs can be fickle, too. Depends on airflow in the room, RH, temp, how you made the coir, etc.
Takes practice and time to figure out how to dial in your tubs. Learnin!
