How bad would 24/7 lighting be? Or mostly on random time lighting?

I don't guess it'd be "bad" per say... but 12/12 is the standard suggestion

ok I gave it a good misting on that side and put some tape over the gaps on the lid so only the 4 spots where the latches go are open.

I wouldn't bottom water until full colonization, a decent misting should suffice... be careful not to overhydrate though... So long as the myc is colonizing, I'd refrain from drastic changes in conditions

I'm having a hard time telling when to mist. I assume over watering will be more detrimental than under. Here's a pic if anyone can give me any tips on what to do next.

Mist when most surface moisture has evaporated... if it's drying quicker than every few days, may need to close FAE a little tighter... if you suspect the substrate is dry, a bottom water may be in order...looks ok to me, and IME, surface moisture typically doesn't appear until a day or two after full colonization, and I rarely end up misting prior to first flush harvest...

If I were you I would just leave it alone until after first flush. The surface has more than enough water on it right now.

Hi everyone, my tubs have been colonizing for 8 days. How far off full colonization do you think they are?

Not too far from the looks of it. Looks pretty wet in there, are you allowing for air exchange?

I have the lid flipped upside down so there should be FAE from the holes where the latches are. Should I leave the lid ajar so it dries up a little?
