Harvest day 17. I flipped the lid from the get go, the mycelium likes it but the substrate shrank just a bit more causing a fruiting gap perfect for side pins. Maybe I'll try the substrate just a bit on the wetter side of field capacity. And perhaps pack it down a bit more.

lets see a few more pics of your flush. im kinda amazed you still have so much condensation with the lid flipped at spawn.

Hey guys! Thisnisnmy first reply to anything as I just designated myself a blank tablet to use for mushroom documenting purposes.
I've been following this tek and all is well so far!
My Coir has been colonizing for 6 days now.
I peeked at it today to take a photo.
Both my tubs look like this.
I think it looks good, but I could be wrong.
Opinions? What do you guys think?

Just don't close it up, and might behoove you to run a fan outward at the door for a while each day so the air doesn't stale and stall progress

Bod when you stack the tubs how are the lids positioned?

I made an experiment by default, I made three tubs and went on vacation for 9 days. All three had lids in the closed position to colonize. They were stacked 2 high with the 4th one having just flipped the lid.

The two on the bottom when I got back look just like the day I made them but the one on top looks like it will need to be flipped and put into the fruiting stage soon.

When you stack do you take the seals off the lids, then close?

I don't even bother, i got 10 tubs in the corner of a small room. I use shelves now because i had some plastic shelving in my basement. You can pretty much stack them any way you want so long as they're sturdy.

Stacking was not the problem, When I first started this tek my first tub I left to colonize with the lid on normal and all 4 latches clamped. This stalled growth. I then flipped the lid and it went on as normal

This past week I stacked them and the bottom ones had the lids on normal but with the weight of the tubs on top in essence had the latches clamped. So they have stalled as well.

I dont have the ability to put in shelves because this is a room that I need to use from time to time and hide my hobby.

I can leave them all scattered in the room only 1 high but the thought of stacking makes more sense. I guess next time I stack ill just go straight to fruiting conditions and stack them that way.

I think this will be the next test I do. I like the idea of having the lids on normal during colonization, I feel for my set up that the tub moves more quickly if I keep the lid on for a bit.

I sure it has something to do with the spawn recovering from shaken jar and then mixing with the coir.  For me going straight to fruiting conditions for some reason takes a couple more days.

Quick question,
I'm fairly hopeless with lighting.
Is this globe suitable to use to provide 12h/day lighting for this setup?

Don't short sell yourself like that. Hopeless witth lighting doesn't make sense, you can't read and compare numbers? Trust me you're capable.
