ya that was a bit confusing, there are big gaps along the side of the tub if I turn the lid upside down - so i guess the real question is, should I flip it upsidedown anyways, or just leave a crack. seems to be humid in there

Hi again I posted earlier in the week. Misted way too early and posted about it. I am aware it's unhealthy but I've had no signs of strange smells or colors. And have reaped my first flush. The question is what is recommended after should I trash it or try and get a second flush even though it is no longer colonizing. Fully aware of my mistakes just asking for guidance. Also my 2nd tub has been on the rise expecting a much more even growth.

Float your substrate to harvest then flip it and let soak for 3-4hrs. flip it back and empty your tub and put it back in fruiting conditions for second flush.

No! I meant to take one but went out and started pulling them and forgot. Just returned from a trip overseas so my brain isn't quite back in gear yet. Pulled what amounted to 86 dried grams out of the cans though.
They were a little ways past maturity and in one can they all grew in one big clump on the side of the can.
I wasn't sure what would happen, but figured fuck it.

Here are a couple of my unmodified monotubs. Mutants came from dirty grain spawn, the clean spawn seems to be giving me larger flushes but of more normal cube looking fruits. Gotta love MS PE lol.
Mutants from contam'd spawn.

Clean spawn makes for much bigger flushes.

Thanks yall!

Not too bad, not in this photo... If you're concerned, increase FAE (or uncover completely)for a few hours...

Is your lighting 100% per the tek? Do yours normally lay down like that?

I realize now that i shouldn't have covered the grains but this is about 11 days from mixing the tub.. shouldnt growth be further along than this?

Casing is optional, how deep is it? is this from the spawn in your signature? Bacteria may be the issue... appears a bit wet to me

casing is just slightly covering the grains, my signature is the spawn yes. Should I start FAE to get rid of some moisture..?

I introduce "fruiting conditions "at spawn... colonization is outdated... notice that creamy look to your spawn(instead of fluffy)? Probably some yellowing? Bacterial infection... FAE may help

I think I see some naked grain between the center of the tub and the colonized part on the right side. If that really is unrecovered grain after 11 days then it is really bad. That's an "if" that's grain I see.
But I have to say spawn looks good in the sig at that stage, and the colonization in the tub looks like myc colonising bulk sub so
Maybe you layered the top thinner towards the sides and that's why myc is reaching out there first.

Hereβs some more pics from along the way.. https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/25320456
All aspects of this first grow have been very slow for me, Iβm sure mostly from rookie mistakes. I was following damion5050/bod coir tek and was having trouble weeding through all the pages for updated methods.
When I spawned my tub I sealed the tub and put it in a black garbage bag (Damion) but it sounds like I should have just flipped the lid and starting fruiting right away? I have since moved it out of the bag and flipped the lid but my havenβt gotten my light ready for set up yet.. I didnβt realize the coiled CFL Lights are impossible to find all of a sudden?

Totally preference, but the idea that elevated co2 levels initiate thicker pinset is just wrong... Someone got lucky, and said that with no objection... mycelium and mushrooms are aerobic organisms and require oxygen to be healthy...
