Will the pinning be the same if i just leave the lid upside down instead of at 90°? Im just a lil nervous that i might not mist it enough or too much

I have. But it doesn't mean I can tell you what's going to happen to your tub. For example if it contaminates before the first flush you're not going to have a good pinset no matter what. if I could fortune tell you what's going to happen I would

And what i meant by that question is does the lid staying upside down affect the FAE which would some type of affect on pinset. Right? By this question at least? lol

Maybe. You'll have to keep an eye on it. You won't learn anything asking more questions than doing.

Is it safe to say the use of monotubs have become obsolete? It seems everyone has gone to unmodified tubs with great results.

I wouldn't say that yet. I bet 95% of people use monotubs and not even 5% of bulk growers are trying unmodified ones. Hopefully that will change with some time, I think the results speak for themselves that holes in a tub are unnecessary for great results

Peu tub at least not contaminated
This one had a coir top layer at spawning like 1/8-1/4 to cover the grains.

I have UV lights set up now. Do i only put the lid at 90° when i have the light on? Im only asking cuz i think that without that little heat it wont make the right climate with the lid open
Or am i only suoposed to start moving the lid when its close to fully colonized?

This is it

Good enough for fruiting now? Started it on feb. 24 Put a little case layer. It seems that the mycelium is getting too puffy tho. That means too humid right?

I also go unmodified tubs. Still use a liner though to make removal easy for dunking between flushes. About to get pins on these 3.

Should i keep the lid upside down for good gas exchange? Or is it good enough to start fruiting. It just seems my sub is starting to get cobweb
